❤️ THIS IS AMELIA’S ROOM ❤️

After weeks of hard work, long days, late nights and an incredible amount of love from so many people, we can finally show you what we’ve been working so hard to create for Amelia.

The extension is built.
The carpets are down.
The sensor lights are ready.
And her bedroom is pretty much finished… just a few final touches we’re waiting on.

But this is Amelia’s room. ❤️

A little girl who has never had a bedroom of her own now has a beautiful space to call hers.

A place where we hope she can feel safe, comfortable, happy and surrounded by love.

We know this room can’t change what Amelia and her family are facing, and that’s the hardest part of all of this.

But if we can make her as comfortable and happy as possible for whatever time she has, then every late night, every bit of hard work and every bit of stress has been worth it.

I have to be honest, this project has been incredibly emotional for me personally. There have been moments where I’ve had to stop and take a breath because you realise just how important what we’re doing actually is.

There are so many people to thank that we’d be here all night trying to name everyone.

Those who donated, those who gave their time, supplied materials, turned up and got stuck in, and everyone who supported this project in any way…

You know who you are, and you should all feel incredibly proud. ❤️

And finally, a huge thank you to Sarah, Amelia’s mum, for putting up with all the ups and downs, changes, mess, disruption and everything else that has come with this project.

Sarah, you’ve been amazing throughout it all, and we hope this room gives you one less thing to worry about and gives Amelia a beautiful little space that is truly hers.

Because this isn’t just a bedroom…

This is Amelia’s little place in the world. ❤️

And to every single person who helped make it happen…

Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts.

🌟 WE CAN FINALLY SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL… 🌟

It’s going to be a late one tonight, but for the first time in what feels like forever, we can finally see the finish line. ❤️

Myself and a few absolutely amazing volunteers are working late into the night to get this very special room finished, and if everything goes to plan, Amelia’s bedroom should be complete tomorrow. 🥹

It’s been a long, emotional and at times incredibly stressful month for everyone involved.

But standing in that room tonight and seeing how it’s coming together… I must admit, it’s starting to get to me. ❤️

For those who have followed Amelia’s story, you’ll know just how incredibly important this is.

Amelia is terminally ill, and her mum’s last wish for her was something that most of us probably take completely for granted…

A bedroom of her own.

Amelia has never had her own bedroom since coming home from hospital.

Now, because of so many incredible people pulling together, she is going to have a beautiful little space that belongs to her — somewhere she can feel safe, surrounded by love, and somewhere Amelia and her siblings can make precious memories together. ❤️

And that’s what this has always been about.

Memories.

The kind that will stay with her family forever.

I honestly can’t put into words what it feels like knowing that something so simple, yet so incredibly important, is finally becoming a reality.

We’re nearly there now… 🥹

Tomorrow could be a very emotional day.

Fingers crossed… the reveal is finally close. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who has helped, donated, volunteered, shared, supported or simply followed Amelia’s journey.

You’ve all played a part in giving this beautiful little girl something she should have had from the very beginning. ❤️

One more push. We’re nearly home. ❤️

💛 THE GOLDEN GIRLS HAVE BEEN AT IT AGAIN! 💛

You know our lovely ladies from the Stakes Women’s Institute… or as we like to call them… THE GOLDEN GIRLS! 😂👵🏼👵🏼👵🏼

Every other week they come in for their little catch-up… and when we say catch-up, we obviously mean a full investigation into everyone’s business! 🤣☕️

But behind all the gossip, giggles and cups of tea, these wonderful ladies have hearts of gold. ❤️

They’ve been busy knitting some absolutely amazing comfort teddies, which they’ve very kindly donated to help support one of the charities we work with.

Honestly, they are absolutely beautiful and will mean so much to the people who receive them. 🧸❤️

So a HUGE thank you to our Golden Girls. You might spend your mornings putting the world to rights over a cup of tea… 😂

…but what you’re doing for our community is pretty bloody special. ❤️

Thank you, ladies. You really are GOLDEN. 💛

Now… back to the important stuff… who’s been talking about who this week? 👀😂☕️

One Mum. One Fight. One Chance To Help. 💗

We’re asking you to stop scrolling for a minute.

Because behind this story isn’t a number, a challenge or a social media post.

It’s a mum. A wife. A daughter. A friend.

Nine years ago, a local mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.

She fought it.

She went through the treatment, the fear, the uncertainty… and eventually she was told the words every cancer patient dreams of hearing:

“You’re in remission.”

For nine years, she got to live her life believing the worst was behind her.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, came the phone call nobody ever wants.

The cancer is back.

But this time it has spread to her liver and bones.

This time, they’ve told her it is not curable.

💔

But if you think that means she’s given up…

You don’t know this woman.

She’s a fighter.

In a few weeks she begins a punishing course of six rounds of chemotherapy.

And while she’s preparing herself for everything that comes with that battle, there’s one thing that we know will be incredibly difficult for her.

She’s going to lose her hair.

For some people, that might sound like something small.

But for a woman who has already had so much taken away from her, losing her hair can be another heartbreaking reminder every single day of the battle she is fighting.

So we want to do something.

Something small compared with what she is facing… but something we hope will make her feel a little more like herself.

We want to raise £1,500 to pay for a beautiful, real-hair wig for her. ❤️

And this is where we need our amazing community.

We now have 65,000 people following this page.

Our posts are reaching millions of people every single week.

Our last challenge alone reached 26.4 MILLION views in 28 days.

So we’re asking local businesses, companies and anyone who might be able to help…

Would you sponsor a small part of this?

If your company would like to make a contribution towards helping us reach the £1,500 target, we will happily give you one of our sponsored spaces on our October challenge.

Our October challenge is going to be our biggest one yet, and your kindness will be seen by an enormous audience.

But honestly…

This isn’t about advertising.

It’s about a woman who has already fought one battle for nine years, and is now facing the biggest fight of her life.

It’s about giving her one little thing that might make her look in the mirror and still see herself staring back.

And maybe, just maybe, when she sits down for her first round of chemotherapy, she’ll know that an entire community is standing behind her.

£1,500.

That’s all we need.

One business.

Ten businesses.

Fifty people.

Whatever you can do.

Because sometimes the smallest act of kindness can mean the absolute world to someone.

❤️ Let’s get this lady her wig.

If your business would like to help, please message us privately.

And please share this post.

Let’s show her what our little community can do when we all stand together. 💗🎀

DON’T LET SIZE FOOL YOU… 😂😂

We had the loveliest petite little lady come in today and order herself a BIG BREAKFAST SANDWICH… 👀

And when we say BIG… WE MEAN BIG! 🤣

Toasted doorstop ✔️
🥓 Bacon
🌭 Sausage
🫘 Beans
🥔 Smashed hash browns
🖤 Black pudding
🍳 RUNNY EGGS

Small lady. BIG appetite. 💪🤣

Never judge a book by its cover… or a breakfast by the size of the person ordering it! 😂

Would you have a go at this monster? 👇

25/08/2026

This man has been in TWO DAYS ON THE TROT ordering the same thing… 👀😂

A TOASTED DOORSTOP loaded with JAM, SMASHED HASH BROWNS & BACON! 🤯🥓🍓

Now before you start typing “that sounds disgusting”… 😂

DON’T HATE IT UNTIL YOU’VE TRIED IT! 👊

He reckons it’s bloody good… so good in fact that when he left today he said:

“I’ll be back same time tomorrow.” 😂😂

Would you try it? 👇

The Cat Food Challenge 🐱😂

🚨 Please share this post as the more shares it gets the more people he may know sees it !

Well… we’ve had a comment from a gentleman who reckons he’d rather eat cat food than eat the food in our video 😂

So we thought… LET’S PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS! 🤣

We’re calling your bluff mate…

If you genuinely think our food is that bad, we’ll happily give you the opportunity to prove it. 👀

LIVE. ON CAMERA. EATING A TIN OF CAT FOOD. 🐱🥫😂

And because we’re feeling generous, if you’re prepared to sit there and eat the whole tin LIVE, I’ll donate £1000 to our brand-new charity launching in September. ❤️ Rowans Hospice ❤️

No editing.
No hiding.
No excuses.
Just you, a tin of cat food and £1000 going to a fantastic cause. 😂

So what’s it going to be?

Our food… or Whiskas? 🤣🤣

Tag him below — let’s see if he’s got the balls to back up his comment, or is he full of 💩

Tag away… 👇

❤️ SHE’S THERE… MINNIE HAS MADE IT TO AMERICA ❤️

There are some moments when you sit down to write a post and genuinely don’t know where to start…

Because this little girl has taken us all on one hell of a journey. 🥹❤️

On Friday, Minnie flew to America.

And this is her… sat outside the hospital in Pittsburgh where she will undergo the life-saving heart operation she so desperately needs. 🇺🇸❤️

Just look at that picture.

A little girl who, not so long ago, was just a name and a story we shared with you…

And now she is THERE.

She has made it all the way to America.

And we want to take a moment to say something that perhaps gets forgotten when you see a fundraising target being reached…

Every single one of you played a part in getting her there.

🍩 OVER 100 CHILDREN took part in our Minnie doughnut challenge. 🍩

Over 100 kids sat down, took on that challenge and helped raise money for Minnie.

Think about that for a moment…

Children helping another child.

Some of them probably didn’t fully understand just how important what they were doing was.

They just knew there was a little girl called Minnie who needed our help…

And they wanted to do their bit. ❤️

Alongside the doughnut challenge, we had our burger challenge, which saw adults and children taking on the challenge to raise money for Minnie.

And then came something pretty special…

❤️ MAX V FOOD gave up his own time to take on all six of our challenge winners.

Adults and children.

He didn’t have to do it.

He chose to.

He gave up his time, travelled to us and took on those six incredible finalists — all because he wanted to help Minnie.

That’s the kind of thing that makes you realise just how special this whole journey has been. ❤️

But it wasn’t just the people who took part in the challenges.

❤️ The people who bought raffle tickets.

❤️ The people who made donations.

❤️ The businesses and individuals who donated prizes and money.

❤️ Our amazing sponsors, who backed us and helped make the fundraising possible.

❤️ The people who came into the cafe and supported us.

❤️ The people who liked our posts.

❤️ The people who shared our posts.

❤️ The people who followed Minnie’s story.

And ❤️ every single person who stopped for a moment, read about this little girl and thought…

“I want to help.”

To all of our sponsors — THANK YOU.

To Max V Food — THANK YOU.

To every single person who took part — THANK YOU.

To every child who took on that doughnut challenge — THANK YOU.

To every person who bought a raffle ticket, made a donation, liked, shared or simply followed Minnie’s story — THANK YOU.

You might think your £5 didn’t make a difference.

You might think buying one raffle ticket didn’t make a difference.

You might think sharing one post didn’t make a difference.

You might think letting your child take part in a doughnut challenge was just a bit of fun…

But put every single one of those little acts of kindness together…

And look where they got her.

🇺🇸 MINNIE IS IN AMERICA.

We started this journey because one little girl needed help.

And what happened afterwards was something truly incredible.

A community came together.

Children came together.

Families came together.

Businesses came together.

Sponsors came together.

People gave their time.

People gave their money.

People gave their prizes.

People gave their support.

And thousands upon thousands of people followed her journey and wanted to see this little girl get her chance.

We honestly don’t know what the outcome of the operation will be.

We can’t promise what the future holds.

But we do know this…

Minnie has made it to the hospital.

She has made it to the place where she can finally get the specialist treatment she needs.

And when she walks through those hospital doors, we hope her family know that she isn’t walking through them alone.

Because behind her is an army of people back home who have cheered her on, raised money, taken challenges, bought raffle tickets, made donations, sponsored us, given up their time, shared her story and believed in her. ❤️

From everyone here at the Village Bakery & Cafe…

THANK YOU.

Thank you for caring.

Thank you for giving.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for believing.

And to those 100+ amazing children who took part in the doughnut challenge…

You should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Because you didn’t just eat a doughnut.

You helped another little girl get one step closer to the treatment she needs. ❤️🍩

And Max…

You didn’t just take on six food challenges.

You gave six people an experience they’ll never forget, while helping a little girl get to America. ❤️

This is what happens when people come together for something bigger than themselves.

One cafe.

Hundreds of people taking part.

Businesses giving.

Sponsors supporting.

Children getting involved.

Thousands of people sharing.

And one little girl getting her chance.

**This isn’t just Minnie’s story anymore.

It’s all of ours. ❤️**

So wherever you are, please join us in sending Minnie the biggest amount of love, strength and positive thoughts imaginable.

Come on Minnie… you’ve got this little girl. ❤️🇺🇸

And when you’re ready, we’ll all be waiting to hear that you’ve done it.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

❤️ ONE’S A GRANDAD. ONE’S AN EX-WORLD CHAMPION BARE-KNUCKLE BOXING CHAMPION. AND THE OTHER… WELL, HE’S JUST A BLOODY LUNATIC! 😂

Put those three together and what do you get?

Apparently… 100K OF RUNNING FOR CHARITY! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️😂

Last night, these three absolute legends set off on a 100K run to raise money for two incredible local charities — Hannah’s Holiday Homes and AMF.

And along the way, people have been joining them for a few miles here and there, giving them support and helping them through what was always going to be one seriously tough challenge. ❤️

At 6.30am this morning, while we were busy getting the cafe ready for a crazy Saturday, these absolute machines were already nearly 7 HOURS into their run!

They stopped off at the cafe for a quick photo, some water and a bit of encouragement before heading back out to carry on.

And now…

THEY’VE ONLY GONE AND BLOODY FINISHED IT! 😱🔥

100K COMPLETED!

Just think about that distance.

But what makes this even more incredible is why they did it — raising money for two amazing local charities and helping make a difference to others. ❤️

Sometimes the word LEGENDS gets thrown around far too easily…

But these three? They’ve absolutely earned it.

They’re constantly coming up with mad ideas to raise money for amazing causes, pushing themselves to their limits and somehow convincing other people to join in with their madness! 😂

So please join us in giving these three an absolutely massive CONGRATULATIONS! 👏👏👏

You should be incredibly proud of yourselves, lads. ❤️

And we’re not finished with them yet…

We’ll be joining forces with these guys for our October challenge…

And let’s just say…

👀 THERE’S A TWIST… AND IT’S ONE YOU REALLY WON’T EXPECT!

More on that very soon… 👀🔥

For now though…

100K DONE. 🏃‍♂️💪❤️

Three different blokes.
Three completely different characters.
One incredible achievement.

Absolute bloody legends. ❤️👏

🌟 TO THE KIDS WHO DIDN’T GET THE RESULTS THEY WANTED… THIS IS FOR YOU ❤️

Please share this post…

Yesterday we had a young lad come into the cafe for breakfast. He’d got his results and unfortunately they weren’t what he needed to get onto the course he wanted.

He was genuinely upset, and it got me thinking…

Yesterday we see hundreds of proud mums and dads posting pictures of their children, telling everyone how amazing they’ve done. And quite rightly too — they should be incredibly proud. ❤️

But amongst all those amazing results, there will also be kids sitting at home feeling like they’ve failed.

So this post is for you.

If you didn’t get the grades you wanted…
If you didn’t get onto the course you dreamed of…
If you’re looking at everyone else’s results and wondering why you couldn’t do the same…

PLEASE DON’T THINK THIS IS THE END.

It really, really isn’t.

Life has a funny way of working itself out. The path you thought you were going to take might not be the path you end up on — and sometimes the unexpected road turns out to be the one that leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.

You might find another course.
You might take a different route.
You might discover something you never even considered.
And one day, you might look back and realise that the result you were crying about today actually led you somewhere better. ❤️

One set of results does not decide how successful, talented, kind, hardworking or amazing you are.

So tonight, if you’re disappointed, allow yourself to be disappointed.

Then dust yourself down.

This isn’t the end of your story… it’s just another chapter. ❤️

And to every parent out there — whether you’re celebrating fantastic results or comforting a child who is heartbroken — give them a massive hug.

Because whatever is written on that piece of paper…

YOU SHOULD STILL BE PROUD OF THEM. ❤️

Everything will be alright. 🙏❤️
