We're bringing authentic German baking and fresh pretzels to Stonehaven’s Feein’ Market TOMORROW! 🥨

Set your alarms, friends — the Feein' Market is back this Saturday, 6th June, and we'll be there with the bakes.

It's the highlight of the town's calendar: the Square packed with acts and events, the traditional market spilling out to join the Farmer's Market, and a proper day out for everyone who comes along.

We'll have our usual spread fresh from the morning's bake — Heritage Sourdough, Community Rye, Weißbrot, Sonnenblumenbrot, Hefezopf, and a good few sweet things to tempt you.

Kommt vorbei and say hello — we'll have the kettle of stories on and plenty to share. Bis bald!

A tin of shortbread. A bottle of something. A branded mug. We've all sent them. We've all received them.

A Hefezopf wrapped in paper, a slice or two of chocolate cheesecake, a little handwritten note — that's a different kind of gift. It says someone thought about it.

It's World Baking Day.

A strange one for a baker to mark, because for us every day is baking day. But there's something to be said for a moment of stepping back and remembering why we do it — the smell of a loaf just out of the oven, the quiet hour before the sun comes up when the Backstube is all yours, the person at the door who's come back for the same bread three Fridays in a row.

If you're baking at home today — whatever you're making, however it turns out — that's the point. That's the craft.
