Lots of family and friends gathered to celebrate Rich's 50th birthday with a classic mk1 ford es**rt cake, because let's face it - they don't make em like they used to. A hand sculpted vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream, hand decorated with fondant icing, and hand painted details. And because Rich is so popular, they ordered extra tray bake portions, with matching colour themed decorations too. 🥳

Appledore Lifeboat Station celebrated their 200 year anniversary this week, and were joined by His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent.

Over the last 200 years the crews at Appledore have launched 2,848 times and saved the lives of 673 people who were returned safely to their families as a result.

HRH the Duke of Kent was invited to cut into the double vanilla sponge with buttercream filling.

Well done to everyone at Appledore Lifeboat Station. May you continue to save many more lives in the years to come.
