**CAKEY UPDATE POST**

We here at Sweet Serenity have an exciting announcement to make!
Our lovely Lindsey......owner, cake boss and general baker extrodinaire, has become pregnant with her second little cupcake!
Now as much as she would like to carry on creating edible masterpieces with 2 mini mes attached to her, we think it might all get a bit much......even for superwoman!

With that in mind Lindsey's trusted, second in command Amy is going to be head honcho from now on!
You may already be aware of who Amy is, if not......she has been working for Sweet Serenity for over 6 years as the cake artist, and is more than able to take on the top job.

We ask for your patience during this time as Amy gets all set up and sorted.
We will not be taking any orders until beginning of June.
There have been problems transferring phone and emails so apologies for lack of responses while we get this sorted.
Amy will be in control of the emails in the next couple of weeks so please bear with us!

In the meantime enjoy the sunshine and watch this space for awesome cake related posts in the future!

I cant believe we forgot to post these pictures! We had such a busy wedding season that everything else got completely forgotten about.
This was a cake commissioned by Organix back in March, we were given a very detailed brief and various images to use and this was the design we came up with (just something small...).
Some of you may recognise the Organix characters which appear on the branding, plus the Gingerbread man on one of their most popular products. The large blackboard on the bottom of the board is actually a sugar replica of one in the Organix HQ reception and Amy painstakingly copied all of the members of staffs names as the company wanted to make sure that everybody in the Organix family was represented. As always everything is handmade by us, and if anyone is wondering how big it was, it required a stepladder to assemble and a very large van to transport!

Happy Birthday Sienna!
Probably one of the prettiest Paw Patrol cakes we’ve made, perfect to cheer us up in this miserable weather. Everything is handmade from the toppers to the logos,
thankyou Emma for giving us another great commission (we look forward to hearing about the new addition!).

We don't often put personal pictures up, however I just had to share these amazing pictures we recently had back from Jess Evans Photography who very kindly did my son's cake smash at the last minute. Not only was she truly lovely but the pictures are amazing. If anyone is looking at booking a photography session for your kids I cant recommend her highly enough!

On a side note, does anyone else notice how confused he is that he is actually allowed to touch the cake!

Thankfully for us wedding season is now over, with only a couple more weddings booked in for the coming weeks. In the last 4 months we have done nearly 60 weddings alone, plus over 200 birthday cakes and some fairly large corporate commissions. It’s safe to say we are all a little exhausted! So now that we are no longer running around like headless chickens we can concentrate on some exciting new developments coming to Sweet Serenity soon.
In the meantime though we are back to normal and taking bookings for cakes. If you have an event coming up, or you do want to chat to us about a wedding cake please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We are also thinking about starting our cake classes again, I know a few of you have enquired already which I will be getting back to in the next couple of days, however if you fancy learning a new skill in time for Christmas drop us an email and let us know.
