Been a bit busy lately so quite a bit to catch up on!
We've had 4 matches in the last 4 days!
First it was the Thursday group of the Piscary Super league, Unfortunately they had the worst weather day for weeks, strong westerly wind with squally showers and combined with very small tides we didn't expect to have a very good day. However they managed a very respectable 18 species Bass, Smalleyed Ray, Smoothounds, Plaice , Tub Gurnards, Pollack and 21 Red Bream which was nice to see. Top 3 on the day
1st Steve Harder 495 super league Match Record!!!
2nd Luke Allen 487
3rd Ray Barron 471
Next it was the Friday group of the Piscary Super league.
Totally different day so we decided to head offshore for a change although the fishing on the banks was a bit slow for Tope and Blonde Rays the fishing on the deep water reef was exceptional for Big Congers,Tope Bullhuss.14 species in total.
Top 3 on the day
1st Darren Phillips 325
2nd Andy Pedon
3rd Alan Bird 273
Next it was the Swan Kingsclere once again flat calm seas so we went straight out to the reef steady fishing all day very similar to Friday with the bonus of an Undulate Ray. Top 3 on the day
1st Dameo Court 298!!!
2nd Rambo 264
3rd Alistair McLaren 227
Last but not least it was the Piscary Sunday league nice day again similar plan to Friday but this time the banks fished quite well for Blonde Rays and Big Bream but the reef was a bit disappointing just a few Congers,Tope, some nice Bass and Bullhuss but they did have the bonus of quite a few Combers. Top 3 on the day
1st Jay Hemming 371
2nd Andy Pedon 325
3rd Darren Phillips 295

On Piscary we had a bit below par 16 species, it was a very standard day really but it is August which can be a very difficult month at times particularly this year with the sea temperature being so warm!! Had some great fishing this week and managed to catch a few Mackerel for bait which has made a big difference for the Ray fishing, also still plenty of nice Bream around along with some good Plaice,Tope and Smoothounds.
I held the Piscary Summer open today and was hoping this would be a bigger competition with multiple boats but I only managed to get 10 anglers to take part so they all fished on Piscary only 12 species but they had a total of 484 1 point fish! 448 5 point fish! Top 4 on the day in a nail bitting finish!
1st Jay Hemming 409 points £120
2nd Ray Barron 391 £80
3rd Paul Hollyoake 388
4th Gorgeous George Fox 384
I would like to do four of these comps a year. It would be great if I can make these comps a bit bigger with multiple boats competing.
I've got spaces for individuals coming up on
Tuesday the 18th.
Monday the 24th
Friday the 28th day trip
Friday the 28th evening trip targeting Triggers and Sole.

We had 3 matches on the boat last week . Next it was IBAC latest match, they decided they would like to try something a bit different as the weather in the morning was fair , so we went out to the banks. Unfortunately the fishing there was very slow which was a bit disappointing, just the odd Tope and Smoothound for our troubles. We had two matches on the boat this week. First it was the Hampshire Police open, this is a teams of 4 event with 66 anglers on 8 boats . Unfortunately the fishing was a bit on the slow side but luckily the strong easterly winds which hampered the fishing earlier in the week did calm down which made for a very pleasant day at sea .
