Just a quick reminder: if your children are coming down to visit Bertha, please please tell them to not take anything if they do not have sufficient payment. We have had two visits already today, and both have underpaid; one by £2, and one by £1.10.

It doesnt seem like a lot, but if everyone did this, it would add up very quickly.

We have some super exciting things happening at HQ this half term!
Tuesday 27th, Thursday 29th, Saturday 31st October at 11am we have our "decorate your own cupcakes workshop".
Two scrumptious cupcakes, 4 bags of halloween coloured buttercream, and lots of sprinkles to top them with! We can absolutely make them dairy free, and gluten free too. Just £15 per person.
You can also add two spooky themed fondant covered sugar biscuits to paint, with an edible paint pallet, for an extra £5!

As a SEN mum and an autistic adult myself, I know that activities like these aren’t always easy for everyone to access. Things like loud music, bright lights, busy environments, or worrying about what others might think can sometimes make joining in feel overwhelming.
So, on 31st October at 2.30pm, after the shop has closed, I’ll be holding a dedicated SEN-friendly session. 💜
There will be: fewer spaces available, no loud music, no bright lights, a selection of fidget toys available to use, and headphones available for anyone who would find them helpful
The aim is simply to create a calmer, more comfortable environment where everyone can enjoy getting creative and making some Halloween treats. 🎃🧁

As well as our sessions, we will have a cabinet full of delicious spooky treats for anyone to come in and purchase.
We will also be at Plymouth Argyles halloween fright night on the 28th, 29th and 30th October with our goodies.

Bertha is SOLD OUT!!!
I forgot to even put a post up to say she was open today but its been so busy that we have sold out of goodies

The unit is CLOSED tomorrow as we are at Bedford Square in Tavistock, with lots of goodies, including this delicious Victoria sponge cake.
Bertha will be restocked tomorrow afternoon ❤️

We like to give back where we can, and this wonderful project caught my eye recently.

An entire year of school fees for these children is less than one takeaway for most couples or small families; and what a wonderful opportunity you're giving to another human being. Everyone should have access to an education, and I know I am guilty of forgetting how lucky my children are to attend safe schools where they are cared for and given the help they need to grow.

We are proud to sponsor Adama, who is the same age as our little Wren, and we hope she has the absolute best first day on Monday ❤️❤️

Meet Adama! Adama was desperate to start school but her family situation meant she wasn’t able to start like all her friends. This made it difficult too when she was use to spending her days playing with friends outside and then they started school leaving her alone and knowing they were at school together. Little wren bakes jumped at the opportunity to sponsor Adama and she went to the school to see the classroom and enroll! We now have a very happy girl and family! Adama will be collecting her uniform and starting on Monday! Thank you so much to her sponsor for making this possible!!! ❤️🌈🇬🇲🏫📚🥳🖍️🎉🙏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻

Well this was a first for me!
Usually I get asked to make brownie slabs, blondie slabs, and even cookie bar slabs! Today I made my first flapjack slab 🥳
A delicious Crunchie flapjack, topped with silky chocolate buttercream and loaded with chocolatey goodies!
Think Crunchie Rocks, Maltesers, chocolate pieces, Crunchie chunks and all the chocolatey goodness… finished with a gorgeous Happy Birthday topper. 🎂

And the best bit? These aren’t just for birthdays! Our slabs can be personalised and decorated for birthdays, celebrations, gifts or simply because you fancy a LOT of something sweet! 😋
