An elegant lemon and poppy seed layer cake, covered in lemon drizzle (as an alternative to buttercream) with lemon curd in between the layers.
Finished off with lemon sherbert candied lemon slices, home grown fresh mint leaves, lemon macarons and lemon zest.

I absolutely loved making this cake for a and music fan.

I know I would have love this as a teenager.
The sponge was chocolate and salted caramel, with a caramel filling and covered buttercream.
Fondant decorations all handmade.

I was so happy when a lovely customer asked me to make some Maltese bakes for her Maltese mum. It was great to go back to my roots with this treat box.

⬅️ on the left: biskuttini tal-lewż (almond biscuits) which are gluten free.
➡️ on the right: Ottijiet (no. 8 shaped biscuits). These little beauties are infused with lemon 🍋 and orange 🍊and topped with sesame seeds. The perfect biscuit to dunk in a cup of tea ☕️
