Baking all done and time to hang up my apron for a few days. Several batches of mince pies made and eaten, a Christmas cake fed with brandy, iced and decorated ready for Christmas Eve, finished off with homemade sausage rolls made with pork, stilton cheese + walnuts and cheesy bites.

It's been a strange couple of months but time to get going with my cakes. The nursery is holding a cake sale for Sue Ryder in a few weeks. A perfect start. My maternity leave starts in 6 weeks so plenty of time to practice and design for my first lot of baby shower cakes. Watch this space ...
