The last few weeks have been full of family cakes, namely birthday cakes for my son and step son, which consisted of chocolate fudge cake with milk and white chocolate ganache and double chocolate chip slab cake with chocolate butter cream and a printed icing sheet.
I also had the pleasure of making a vegan and a gluten free wedding cake for my beautiful cousin which were lemon with homemade vegan lemon curd ( which was delicious!) . I am by no means a proficient novelty baker and there are lots that do a far superior job to me in that department, but I always focus on making tasty cakes with good flavours, the children were happy with their creations and I was pretty happy with the how the poke balls turned out 😁
Ps I will always hate flat icing cakes, if anyone has any tips for making it a less painful process, please let me know xx
