As of the 24th December I will be closing my diary forever 😢

Im really struggling to find the time for baking and sadly with the cost of ingredients increasing so much I’m almost baking for free.

I am so grateful for every single person who has placed an order from me and also a massive thank you to all my returning customers who come back time and time again, it means a lot. 💕

✨I will of course still be honouring any cakes/cupcakes already booked in ✨

“It’s only butter & eggs”

Last week one of my daughters came home saying that someone had said to her that my cakes were “too expensive” which got me thinking how much my profit will have gone down with all the heavy price increases recently… with butter going from £1.50-£1.75 a block 🤦🏻‍♀️
Let’s not talk about how much my house bills have gone up, imagine your oven being on allll day 😭
This price breakdown is missing lots of other elements… cleaning time, dealing with enquiries, cleaning products, collection times, LATE collection times, insurance, online training, allergen stickers, cake tins, equipment, the list could go on 🤦🏻‍♀️

This post is made just to give customers a little insight into how much actually goes into your price breakdown and how much it actually costs to make your cakes 🎂
