The Lamorna Cove Owl 🦉

If you’re down at the cove after dark… listen carefully.

You might hear it.

Not your usual soft woodland call.
This one’s a bit more… confident.

A bold “wit… WOO!” echoing through the valley.
Sometimes once.
Sometimes… committed to a full performance.

And it’s rarely alone.

There have been sightings of a small, low-to-the-ground companion…
moving with purpose,
keeping watch,
occasionally appearing to be on some kind of night patrol.

We’re not saying anything unusual is going on.

All we’ll say is this —
Lamorna has its wildlife.
And then it has Lamorna HAS ITS wildlife.

A few things to be prepared for before you set off:

Please wear sensible shoes, some paths may still be uneven in places.

Not all fallen trees and branches have been cleared following Storm Goretti, so take it easy along the route.

Make sure you fill up your water bottles before the walk.

If you’re planning to use public transport, check bus routes for your return journey as road closures may affect services.
