The pups 🐶 🐕 all had another great adventure 🐾 exploring and sniffing around Staverton woods 🌳🦅🪵🍄🌿🐿️🚂 this afternoon 🌤️ My friend came with me as he needed the company and wanted to come here as it was one of his little Zoe’s 💖 favourite walkies 🐾 We stopped off at the “Glade” for a rest, treats and refreshments💧 and Ayia 💖 had to have her served from the table 😆 Then we carried on through the woods🌲and down to the river which Zoe 💖 used to race off ahead to get down to. They all (well except my Buster 💙 it takes a lot to get him in 🙄) enjoyed their paddles with Jinny 💖 being more confident going out further for a splash 💦 about. And just as we were leaving she found a hole 🕳️ to dig 🐾 and stuck her head down that 🤣 to investigate 👀 with Ayia 💖 and Buster 💙 wondering what we were waiting for. Then we headed back to the car 🚐 and home 🏡 to Brucie 💙 who was happy 😊 as “he saw 👀 he saw 👀 a puddy cat” 🐈‍⬛ on his short garden🪴🌸 walkies 🐾 this morning AND made eye contact 😆 which made his day 😊(last pic)

The back of Holburn Holiday 🛝🎤🎶 Park was the start of the pups 🐶 🐕 Saturday afternoon walkies 🐾 Jinny💖 was first in for a paddle 💦 in the little stream💧as Maisie 💖 watched and then decided to join her as well. Ayia 💖 peeped 👀 over 😆 the bridge as if to say “are we ready to go now” Then we went up through Grange woods 🌳🐦‍⬛🍄🐌🐜 to explore. Ayia 💖 and Jinny 💖 were up the banks 🪵 on the lookout 👀 and listening for squirrels 🐿️ Up at the top fields ☘️🌼🐇 they all enjoyed a good sniff and then we headed back the same way. All of them except my Buster 💙 enjoyed their paddles 💦 even Chester 💙 amazed me 😳 when i crossed the bridge and saw him standing below in the water💧It’s very rare he gets his paws 🐾 wet, a brave 😁 boy today Chester.💙

I had some very sad 😢 news early this morning 🌤️ my friends little Jack Russell 🐶 Zoe 💖 took a bad turn in the night and crossed rainbow 🌈 🕊️bridge at the vets this morning. She really enjoyed 🥰 coming out on her walkies 🐾 with us especially when it was a trip to the river💧(riv, riv’s as we would say to her always excited her) where she loved rolling the stones 🪨 around and dragging them out and playing fetch the stickie and she really surprised us when she went in swimming 💦 and was a natural 😁 at it. Her last walkies 🐾 just being on Thursday was at the woods 🌳 and river💧and we can’t believe how suddenly this has happened. She was a feisty little doggie but also had a very sweet side to her. After losing his wife at the same time last year i really feel 😔 for my friend losing his little girl Zo Zo 💖 today and my thoughts are with him at this heartbreaking 💔 time. . . RIP dear Zoe 💖🐶 x

We had two lovely 🥰 arrivals and returning guests this afternoon ⛅️ First here after lunch was handsome boy Bruce 💙 the Tri pod Fox Terrier 🐶 here for his 8 night stay and as always was raring 🐾 to get down the garden path to meet his new and old friends 🐕 and check 👀 to see if the cats 🐈‍⬛ were in their run on the way past 🙄 they were so he was extra excited 😁 Little Maisie 💖 took a shine to him straight away 🥰. . . Then soon after we had beautiful Ayia 💖 the Cockapoo 🐕 arrive for her 12 night holiday. She was a bit unsure but once down the house 🏡 she gradually settles in. It does tend to take her a bit longer, she sulks ☹️ and won’t eat for a day so she gets extra cuddles 🥰 and reassurance and possibly hand fed this evening. 😊

The pups 🐶 enjoyed a shorter walkies today ⛅️ down at Clennon Valley 🌳🐦‍⬛🚴🏽‍♂️⚽️🥅 and around the lovely lakes💧🦆🦢🌿🐟 They had a sniff in the field ☘️ first and then Toby 💙 and Jinny 💖 couldn’t resist a dip💧in the first part of the lake. Maisie 💖 was taking it all in and Chester 💙 was up front doing his own thing. Jinny 💖 made me laugh how she miss judged the edge 😆 of the lake and plopped 💦 in but she soon got herself out alright. Maisie 💖 had her eyes on the birds 🐦 while Jinny 💖 took another paddle being very good 😊 and taking no notice of the ducks 🦆 Jinny 💖 did some digging 🐾 in the field with her head down a hole 🕳️ thinking she’d seen a mouse 🐁 On the way back Chester 💙 had a good run 🐾 Buster 💙 was on the lookout 👀 for squirrels 🐿️ again and Jinny 💖 and Maisie 💖 were transfixed 👀 at someone’s back garden gate as they could hear a dog 🐕 barking but couldn’t see it. . . Then it was back home 🏡 for a treat and wait for our next guests 🐶 to arrive, I’ve a busy few days coming up. 😁

Our new arrivals and returning guests this morning 🌥️ are the two gorgeous 🥰 Cavalier pupsters 🐶🐕 Chester 💙 and Maisie 💖 here for their 8 night break. They had a lovely welcome from my boys 💙 and Jinny 💖 and went straight outside for a good old sniffies around the garden 🌳🐦‍⬛🌼🌿🐿️ before we head off out.

Another great walkies 🐾 today 🌦️ with my friend and his doggie Zoe 💖 to somewhere we’ve both never been before, the lovely Longtimber Woods 🌳🦅🍄🌿🪵 near Ivybridge. My nephew had told me about this place so I’m glad we finally got to come here and it has some amazing spots for wild swims 🏊‍♀️ which i intend to do more of after getting a taste of it on bank holiday Monday. After going under the Brunel viaduct we actually took a wrong and more difficult path so after the pups 🐶 had their first little paddle💧we came back on the main path and Zoe 💖 got stuck in the mud 😆 and the others all got covered as well 🙄 and came out looking like they had black boots on. Not a good start but it didn’t matter as they all had plenty more fun splashing 💦 about in the river Erme on the way through so cleaned off nicely. Jinny 💖 and Zoe 💖 were playing fetch the stickie but Jinny 💖 wasn’t brave enough to take the plunge so Zoe 💖 made us laugh and took over and plopped herself in and then swam past the stick 🤣 with Jinny 💖 looking 👀 on as if to say “you muppet you’ve gone and left it there” 😆 Jinny 💖 did eventually venture in for a swim 💦 while Zoe 💖 was happily rolling the pebbles about and fishing them out. Toby 💙 had a couple of paddles and Buster 💙 was more interested in squirrel 🐿️ patrolling 👀 exploring and sniffing. . . They all 🐶🐕 had a brilliant time on a different adventure 🐾 and it’s definitely a place to return to.

It’s that time of the year when my boys 💙💙 had to pop along to Seymour Vets in Totnes for their booster jabs 💉 and Kennel Cough vaccine. So that was first our first port of call this morning 🌧️ and both were trembling wrecks 🙄 upon entering and wouldn’t even take a gravy bone 🦴 treat off Zoe or vet Catherine. I’m pleased to say despite them struggling i didn’t get head butted by either of them this time 😁 as they both had to be taken out the room away from me to have help giving the dreaded Kennel Cough sq**rt. All done ✔️and another 3 months of flea/worm treatment collected and it was back to Jinny 💖 patiently waiting in the car 🚐 Then off we went to meet my friend and his doggie 🐶 for a lovely walkies 🐾 along the river Dart💧🦆🌿🌼🦭🛶🏊‍♀️Jinny 💖 really enjoyed wading out for her paddles 💦 but my boys 💙 really weren’t in the mood after their ordeal 🙄 We went as far as Bridgetown and popped over the road to Vire Island 🌳🛟⛴️🛥️ which cheered 😊 Buster 💙 up as he loves chasing the squirrels 🐿️ on here. Then we headed back the same way and they couldn’t resist a nosey 👀 around somebody’s tent ⛺️ pitched up. With the tide being lower on the way back Jinny 💖 had more paddles and had her eyes 👀 on the ducks 🦆 and the swans 🦢 came over to see us so i to had to get her out quick as they were hissing at her and she had a bark at them. We did get slightly wet with the mizzy rain 🌧️ but it made a nice change to come here today.

Jinny 💖 and my boys 💙 had a nice walkies 🐾 today 🌤️ starting off by going through Youngs Park 🌳🐿️ and Jinny 💖 had her eyes 👀 on the ducks 🦆on the pond, then my Buster 💙 had a bad case of selective hearing and wandered off under the barrier of the boating 🚣🏻lake and into the office 🙄 and it took me a while to get him to come back. After my apologies to the lady she opened the gate and i had to go and get him as he wouldn’t move 🙄 he was being very nosy and stubborn today. Then we went down onto Goodrington beach 🌊🦀🐚🎣⛵️ and Jinny 💖 enjoyed splashing 💦 about in the sea and chasing the seagulls 🐦 and Toby 💙 joined her for the occasional paddle. Buster 💙 had to be different and go across on the rocks 🪨 and then saw the water💧coming in around him and thought to himself “how am i going to get down” 😆 and Jinny 💖 came over to the rescue, probably telling him “it’s ok and don’t be such a wuss” 🤣 Then we headed back the same way through the park with Jinny 💖 having a refreshing drink💧on the way.

Our new arrival and very excited returning guest this morning 🌤️ is gorgeous 🥰 girlie Jinny 💖 the Jack Russell Terrier 🐶 She’s here for just over a week and was raring to get down the path and had a lovely welcome from my Buster 💙 and Toby 💙 Just checking out and having a sniffies around the garden 🌳🐦‍⬛🌼🌿🐿️ before we head off 🐾 out.
