A brilliant Wednesday in the office today - our usual big lunch (only just over 300 covers today with Half Term leave) followed by a farewell party for one of our favourite people in the office, who has been a champion of Cuxham Mill throughout this whole shift in business for us. A special mention in Peters speech had use wondering who was cutting onions 😭😭😭

Planning, logistics, list making and TEAMWORK make the dream work.

Come and see the National Collection of nettles, ground elder, bindweed and garlic mustard!

I’m slightly kidding 😉. Open garden - no entry fee - children and dogs on leads welcome - licensed bar. Will share parking & entrance details closer to the time.

Hopefully the Dahlias may be making a show by then but what this is really about is opening up the garden in this very special place we call home.

Finally made time to check out hives this morning and sadly as we had expected - one is empty. The other however is thriving AND we spotted our Queen Beeyoncé!

An inspirational evening last night celebrating young talent at St Edmund’s in Oxford.

Sam won the plant based category with his wonton canapé which was served outside in the beautiful quad alongside the other two winners canapés - scallop, beef tartare and feta cornetto.

We then went through to the dining hall and enjoyed an exceptional meal with wines to match and great company!

Congratulations Sam!

A brilliant day at Kimble for the point to point racing celebrating turning 69! And we didn’t see a single horse race 🤣😬

A brilliant evening at Hundred Hills for a deep dive in to the discorging process. We started upstairs with Rupert learning some background about the history of sparkling wine before seeing (and doing) the process by hand, then descended into the winery where James talked us through how they attack the process at the vineyard. Amazing!

An incredibly busy start to the week already for team Cuxham Mill. Building launch yesterday afternoon for 175 guests then a buffet breakfast and lunch for 80 today on top of our daily workforce catering in Oxford, has certainly pushed us.

Our team is in need of some additional talent - positions available with immediate start :
FULL TIME Kitchen Porter
FULL TIME Chef de Partie
FULL TIME Front of House role (duties include some kitchen duties so a food background/experience is preferred)
