proof we make cake for every occasion? i don’t really know what this one was even for- but it’s cute!
8” chocolate and raspberry cake with personalised message; layers of chocolate cake, homemade raspberry jam and covered in thick chocolate ganache.

Colourful wedding cakes>>>
This was a 10” dummy tier and a 8” lemon cake- with textured blue ombré, metallic blue drip, and faux flowers!

i know i said i was going to get better at posting.. and then didn’t post anything for 2 months..

but this time i mean it when i say
i’m going to get better at posting!

It’s difficult to find the motivation to post when i know instagram will only show this post to like 4 people, but the more i procrastinate the worse my reach will get :(

I have a confession to make…
the honest truth is that i am not good at decorating cookies. My hands are always shakey, i can never ever pipe a straight line, and my best skill is just covering it in sprinkles and hoping for the best.
And that’s why i leave the hard part for you guys! This is the 3rd year of Hollys Bakes and Treats decorating kits, and the pictures i’ve been sent of your creations from previous years prove that you’re all so much better at it than me!
Whether your buying for yourself or your kids, i can’t wait to see what you make. These kits are perfect to fill some time between the end of school and christmas day, or to decorate and leave out for santa!

I know it’s only november but last year the support for the christmas menu was INSANE and there are limited numbers this year due to my availability. So order in advance if you don’t want to miss out!

Cake International 2022
I won’t lie- this is the first year i have presented something to the famous black table cloth that i wasn’t proud of. I wasn’t expecting to do well- in fact i almost decided not to come at all because i really didn’t like my piece…
But i must have done something right because i got a bronze! 19 more points than last years entry (which was a cake i truly loved).
The feedback you get from these competitions is very helpful- for example last years piece got critique for not having enough movement and being unnaturally symmetrical in terms of placement of features so that was something i really worked on this year- and was recognised in my feedback
