What an unexpected visitor! 💙

Last week we rescued a beautiful kingfisher that had somehow flown into the gallery through the water wheel and even more remarkably managed to make its way upstairs!

After a careful catch, we were delighted to release it safely back where it belongs. A happy ending for one of Britain's most stunning birds 😍
