My Story

I’m going to tell you where i came from and how i got here.

First of all i had a mum that came from a baking, teaching background and showed me my love for baking and that's where it all began. As a young adult i had a great love for cooking so i entered a catering college and began my training and with working in the industry but i did not fit so i went more down the management end thinking that route was for me and with my love for people i excelled. I left college and went to work in our parliament buildings during a very important time in our small part of the world 20 years ago, I worked there for about 6 months and i then was poached to manage 2 restaurants which went well and with my love for people i excelled but my heart was still a little lost. So my mind started to think of traveling and working in this industry there was so many options open to me but the chance came up to work for Crystal Cruises the world's only 6* company in the world which was one of the biggest learning curves in my life and one of the most exciting times also from the Austrian Master bakers to partying on the white sands of bora bora believe you me i knew how to have fun and work hard and that's what life is all about. The next chapter i ended up leaving catering for a few years to follow my other love of helping people to look and feel good with opening a toning & tanning shop witch i still run until this day and i still love my job but about 5 years ago i missed my love for baking & in cooking that is where my heart lay and i set up my home baking page Treats Boutique & i was over the moon how it took off, for the next 5 years if i was not working in my shop or having the odd gin night out i was thinking of recipes i was making them and my oder book was inundated. My motto was to use the best ingredients that money could buy, I never compromised on taste for cost and if you have a love for baking please never do this. With a few changes in my life i decided to hang up my apron once again but after a few month something was pulling me back in again and my mind started thinking where to go from here. So i've decided to set up a blog so bear with me cos ive no idea what im doing.lol But i want people to fall in love with baking as much as i have. If its only 1 or 2 well i've done something right. So i hope you all enjoy this new beginning to my baking career. Aidan.x
