Today was my first wedding ๐Ÿ‘ฐโ€โ™€๐Ÿคต๐Ÿ’’cake since officially starting Cakes by Helen! I have been so excited to create this one since the initial consultation with the couple! I loved their vision and the fact that I hadn't seen a cake like it before..a real trend for 2026 wedding cakes.

I have taken a little bit of time off over the summer โ˜€๏ธ holidays to have time with my family and have a holiday so I'm sorry if I have taken longer than usual with my replies. I will be getting back to everyone in the next few days and sharing some of my cakes that I haven't got around to posting yet!

Maureen has ordered cakes with me in the past and her husband Tim has always collected them! So when it was Maureen's turn for her own cake (or cakes should I say) Tim knew exactly where to come! The first one was for a family meal and the second one a big surprise party!! I have loved being part of these celebrations ๐Ÿพ

Oh my gosh yesterday was a hot one for baking!!! ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต
I usually like to get the cakes baked the day before but with working lots of hours last week this just didn't happen! So my day started at 7.30am and I wiped down the kitchen sides just in time for the England game! ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™Œhaving the oven on in the middle of the day was not fun, the only thing that was working harder was all the fans that I had surrounding me!
At midday a chocolate overload left the kitchen in all it's glossy, drippy chocolatey deliciousness!! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ˜
Then it was on to my two tier pink and gold cake, which is getting picked up shortly for a first birthday.
Absolutely thrilled with both of these cakes but oh boy, if the sun could just switch down a notch or two next time I'm assembling buttercream cakes that would be just lovely!! ๐Ÿ™
