This one really touched me ❤️
A lovely lady called Lynn contacted me through Facebook wanting to order some floral cupcakes to take with her to Malta.
Lynn is 82 years old!
She travelled all the way from Manchester by car to collect her cakes from me here in Nottingham.
When she arrived, I offered her a cuppa before she set off back home, but she said she was fine as she needed to get back for her hair appointment that afternoon. Bless her, I thought she was absolutely lovely!
For her cakes, I made Large and Mini Spider Dahlias, along with Large and Mini Daisies, in soft shades of dusky pink, lilac and ivory.
The other design was made up of Large and Mini Roses and Collarette Dahlias, in lovely warm shades of ivory, rust and mustard.
As the cakes had quite a journey ahead of them, I gave Lynn plenty of advice on how best to transport and care for them while travelling. I was just hoping they would arrive in Malta looking as lovely as when they left me.
Well, they arrived perfectly safe and ready to be enjoyed!
Then yesterday I received such a lovely message from Lynn telling me how well the cakes had gone down in Malta.
She even told me that the airport security staff were so impressed they took photographs of the cakes and my business details!
How lovely is that!
And to top it all off, Lynn has already placed her next order with me!
I really did enjoy making these cakes, and receiving such a lovely message afterwards meant so much to me.
I just wanted to share Lynn’s story with you all, as it’s moments like these that make what I do so worthwhile. ❤️
