I have had new followers so I thought I'd re introduce myself.. I am Cara the face behind the Cakes & Bakes, I am a one person band I do everything myself.

I am an animal loving Harry Potter nerd who loves to bake, I mainly bake for Family & Friends.

My baking all started when I was a kid and me and my sister would help her with cakes, she taught me the basic on what to do.. I then stopped for a while and started again back in 2015 I baked and decorated my first cake it wasn't very good as I hadn't a clue what to do fully.. I am self taught through watching lots of Cake Boss watching YouTube videos and other cake influencers.

I mainly work with fondant cakes but I will put my hand to anything, I love a challenge for a cake. My favourite cakes to make are for kids as there imaginations are amazing and I love bright colourful cakes.

Thankyou all for following me on my crazy cake journey. Happy to have you along for the ride.
