A cake full of hearts, full of love to celebrate a huge milestone. That first birthday is always a mark in our lives as parents, it’s a year full of firsts… first cry, first feed, first steps, first giggles, first words. Our world gets filled with laughter and love and our hearts get stolen by those tiny humans, leaving a huge print in our life.
And such milestone deserves a special cake. I love how this cake turned out, and I love how the uneven borders give an extra special look to the cake.
This cake is composed of lemon sponge and filled with lemon curd (so packed with vitamin C for this cold winter days) and all decorated with swiss meringue buttercream. Everything is made from scratch in my kitchen with love.
