// REAL //
All the flowers I use on my cakes are real, fresh and where possible purchased from local independent businesses βοΈ
And speaking of real, time for some genuine real talk about business and life lately.
It's hard to break through this Instagram bubble we all like to be in and actually share some reality. It's so easy to look at these little squares and assume people are doing well or being successful.
The harsh truth is, that with things as they currently are, I'm not sure what the future holds for Little Pie - or me. The dream suddenly seems too big and I feel too little.
I'm not posting this for sympathy, just sharing because behind every pretty picture I post, there's me. Tired and anxious about what's going to happen next and usually up to my eyeballs in washing up and scraps of paper scribbled with shopping lists and reminders for myself to eat properly or drink water.
I've sacrificed so much of my time, my energy, my health and my relationship just to keep this dream going and I'm wondering if it's time to just throw my hands up and be...well, real.
I was always told as a kid not to give up or make a fuss, but to just get on with things as best you can. Even if those things are really, really hard. Which is why I've kept on.
I'm honestly so thankful to all of of customers and supporters and by no means am I saying this is the end. I just have a lot of reevaluating to do before the new year and I'm grateful for your continued support in the meantime.
Anyway.
If we could all be nice to each other too that would be great. Shopping small is lovely, but sharing and being part of a community is even better. Check in with people and all that stuff. If you've read this far then I owe you a brownie.
Much love always
