This cake was made for the lovely Danny to celebrate his 21st. It was made from chocolate fudge cakes filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in chocolate ganache and fondant. Hope you had the best day celebrating with friends and family. 🥂🎂

This is my first attempt at fondant jungle animal cupcakes. Although very fiddly and time consuming, I loved creating these so much. I love the blends of colours and designs. I made these for a lady’s baby shower. The ‘Mummy To Be’ cupcake is based on her sash. I hope you all had a lovely day celebrating. 😊🎂

This cake was made for the recent retirement of the head teacher of a local school.

I was approached and asked to create and design a cake incorporating his beloved bike. So here is the final design. I made this cake from an 8” Vanilla cake filled with buttercream and jam.

This cake was made for a gentleman’s 70th birthday. My brief for the design was that it should include a spitfire and a pilot, preferably with a resemblance to the birthday boy himself. I really enjoyed the challenge of creating this, and here’s what I came up with. All decorations were handcrafted and edible, and created around a 6” 3 layer vanilla sponge filled with buttercream and jam. 😊🎂

Laurie and I would like to thank you all for your support this past year, and wish every one of you all the very best for the year ahead.

Just a little advance notice that we will be taking a break from Saturday 8th and be back in The Bakehouse from Tuesday 17th January. During this time we will be contactable for orders and enquiries, but the ovens will be off and the DottyMobile parked up!

......ALL DONE! After a few very hectic weeks, we are now taking a few days off for our own family Christmas. The ovens in Dotty's Bakehouse are switched off, and the DottyMobile is parked up until after the break. (We will of course still respond to cake inquiries and take cake orders.)

We would like say a huge 'THANK YOU' to all our lovely customers who have continued to support us over the past year. It's been another tough one for all of us - increased ingredient, fuel, and energy costs affect our ability to supply and your ability to buy. So whether you've just 'liked' one of our posts, bought a slice to take away at one of our two cafe outlets - The Artisan Cafe and Watsons - bought a celebration traycake for a special family occasion, or commissioned me to do your wedding cake, we thank you and we really appreciate you.

Without you, our customers, we quite simply wouldn't have a business, and your support has helped us through these continuing challenging times. Laurie and I wish every one of you a very Happy Christmas and all the best for 2023.
