💕🍰👩🏼‍🍳⭐️ Get to Know Me💕🍰👩🏼‍🍳⭐️

So why have I named my business ‘Matilda Rose Bakes’ when my name is in fact Kirsty…

My 2 daughters have Matilda & Rose as one of their middle names and are probably one of the main reasons for taking the leap and ‘doing it!’. Something for them to hopefully look back on as they grow and be proud and to know that they were a part of it all too!

My Granma…there are not enough words for me to explain just how incredible and special she is in my life. Rose is also her middle name and it was from living with her and my grandad all under one roof for the first 15years of my life that my passion for baking and food developed!! She taught me how to bake ‘the proper way’ with a wooden spoon and elbow grease to get that cake batter light and fluffy.

The amount of joy I have to know that she is still here and has been able to witness me start my own baking business is just HUGE. She has given me table clothes she no longer uses, that I use at my markets and it makes me so happy to have a part of her with me each time, even if she can’t make it to them! 💕

Matilda…it is probably like many a film &book grew up watching & reading and still now is an absolute must in our house, I have passed the love for it onto my daughters which is amazing and of course, THAT CHOCOLATE CAKE is something I have my own delicious version of which is enjoyed by my family for many years! 🍰🍫

so it only seems right i share a snap of one of our signature delicous bakes!! My take on THAT chocolate cake 🍫 I’ve been making this chocolate fudge cake for YEARS, it’s always been my ‘go-to’ bake for any family birthday cakes or just when we all wanted some cake!! 🍫💕 Once this is cooked and cooled, nowadays it’s topped with the best SALTED chocolate ganache and finished with only the best sprinkles 🌈It is hands down one of my favourite things to bake and eat, with that salty chocolate ganache, it’s never too sweet, just that right hit of indulgence 🍫 Still not convinced…..come and try a piece this Sunday, we’ll be outside taking part in the summer fayre!! 🍫⭐️🍫⭐️
