Caramelised Cornflake Chocolate Chunk Brownies are in the Cake Cupboard ALL weekend!

Rich, fudgy chocolate brownie packed with chunks of dark chocolate, topped with golden, buttery caramelised Cornflakes for the perfect combination of chocolatey, chewy and crunchy.

And the best bit? They’re gluten free!
(Though made in a kitchen that used gluten!)

Available in the Cake Cupboard all weekend while they last.

Back open after a couple of weeks away… and oh, it feels SO good to be back in the kitchen!

I’ve been baking my little socks off all week, getting the Cake Cupboard stocked with all your favourites — cake jars, cookies, blondies, brownies, flapjacks, raspberry shortcakes and plenty more deliciousness.

And can we just appreciate that the sun is finally calming down a little?! The ice packs are STILL living in the Cake Cupboard though… just in case. We don’t want any melty melties!

It honestly feels so wonderful to be back, baking for such a lovely community. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for continuing to support my little cupboard. It really does mean the world.

A NEW CHAPTER 🍰🌿

After 12 years of being The Cake Lady Norwich, I think it might finally be time for a change…

If you know me through cake, you might not know that there’s another big part of my world.

I’m Em, and alongside baking, I’m also a doula, pregnancy yoga teacher and the person behind The Birthing ZenDen.

And actually, I’ve realised that the two sides of my work have much more in common than I ever thought.

One is about supporting women through pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

The other is about cake.

But both are really about the same thing…

Creating little moments of calm, comfort and celebration — one cake at a time. 🍰

Whether it’s a beautiful celebration cake, a box of treats, or finding a slice in the Cake Cupboard when you’ve had one of those days…

I want my baking business to feel like a little bit of joy.

And after 12 years, I’m also a little bit bored of being “The Cake Lady” 😂

There are so many Cake Ladies now, and it no longer feels like me.

So I'm thinking about giving the cake business a whole new identity — something that feels more me, connects with the cosy, nurturing feeling behind what I do, and gives me room to grow beyond just celebration cakes.

And I want YOU to help me choose. 👀

Every week I'm reminded just how lucky I am to have such an amazing community supporting this little honesty cake cupboard. Thank you for every purchase, every share, every recommendation and every kind word. It truly means the world to me and brings me so much joy baking for you all. 🧁✨

📅 This week (Thursday 6th – Sunday 9th August) we're open as usual:

Just a little heads-up... the Cake Cupboard will then be CLOSED for the next two weekends while I spend some quality time with my family.
