I've enjoyed creating all your ideas and bringing them to life, but as from January I'm afraid I will be closing the order book and Greenfield Bakes will cease to be trading as a home bakery.... so thanks to you all for your support over the years I really do appreciate it .... take care , Debbie x

We've been a little quiet lately as we've been working on a few ideas for Easter.. all of which have passed the taste testers here on the house !!!
Here's a sneak preview of the Easter offerings which will be available to order from next week....
Brownie coated creme eggs, £2 each
Easter egg cheesecakes, £3.50
vanilla or chocolate cheesecake with various toppings please ask for availability.
Brownie and Easter cookie filled eggs, £3
Small easter sponge traybakes £2.50
Small Easter cheesecake traybakes £3
Mini egg fudge £4.50
Cookies, mini eggs or with mini creme egg filling, 6 for £3.50.

This made me think.... especially as its tax return date coming soon.... im not sure where this company is based and prices do vary regionally.... but yes I don't think people realise just what the costs are

Just for info!! Another local cake maker posted this and it really helps to get across what’s involved in the cost of cake making! When people say “How much?! It’s ’just a cake’!” think again about what’s involved.

People don’t question the cost and skills of a beautician when they book in for example. Cake makers are also skilled in their trade, plus on top there’s the mad cost of ingredients, boards and boxes, icing etc etc. I could add more costs to that example too, ie model making (figures, pets etc) and insurance!

I try to keep my prices as low as possible but I have to earn a wage too!
