✨ Product Story: My First Custom Cake ✨

I’m a little behind on , but I couldn’t miss this prompt! My cake journey started at just 13 years old when Jenni, a family friend, tasted a Christmas cake I’d made in school and challenged me to bake her 40th birthday cake.

With the guidance of my Grandma (my biggest baking mentor), I took on the challenge—and just like that, my first official custom order was born! It was nerve-wracking, exciting, and the start of something I never could have imagined.

Jenni’s trust in me set me on this path, and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities that followed 🩷

Every cake I make feels like part of a growing collection, but my current fave has to be this Grinch cake I made last week for a first birthday! 💚🎄 I had SO much fun with this one! Bold colors like these make cakes even more fun to create (and eat!).

📍 The Garden Eatery, Hale - The perfect spot for a tasty & nutritious breakfast or brunch, serving up a selection of healthy treats and homemade juices
📍 Poppy Rose Tea Rooms, Northwich – A little hidden gem where you can have an award winning, delicious afternoon tea made by the super talented Poppy
📍 The Hollies Farm Shop & Café, Lower Stretton - Delicious food made using fresh ingredients from local producers & a lovely selection of gifts available in the shop
📍 The Lounge & Kitchen, Oakmere - A family run business with gorgeous home cooked food (and the best steak pie in Nortwich according to their regulars!)
📍 Abbey Leys Farm Shop, Lymm - A family run farm, producing organic eggs and potatoes and a farm shop stocking local produce
📍 Siren Asylum Café - situated in a women's alternative fitness centre, where you can grab a coffee and snack in-between classes taught by the most supportive teachers!

I love working with local cafés and shops to bring fresh, homemade bakes to more people.

And of course, my custom bakes are always available to order directly through me for collection in Barnton, Northwich! Whether it's a birthday cake, wedding cake or just a midweek treat, I'm here to fulfill your cake needs!

Workspace

Welcome to my workspace - aka my home! When I registered my kitchen at the start of 2024, I knew it would be a challenge balancing work and home life in the same space. Some days, it’s tough to switch off when your job is always right there in front of you. But having everything under one roof also gives me the flexibility I love.

And of course, I couldn’t do it without my right-hand man Matthew - whether he’s helping with deliveries or tackling the never-ending washing up!
