The Tulips are doing their thing right now! Lots of shrubs and magnolias are also out and we’ve opened the bluebell wood today early! With this warm weather they are starting to come out, not fully yet, however they are a couple of weeks earlier than normal.

It’s all systems go as we prepare to open for the season 2026 next WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL!

The gardeners have worked their way through most things of the borders during the winter. Grass mowing is underway, potting on of rooted cuttings, the sweet peas have been potted up and are now ready for sale. All helped along by homemade cake from our fabulous volunteers and all watched on by Percy our resident Cocker Spaniel.

The nursery is still open all week 10-4pm prior to our first official opening next week. So call in and grab a coffee, some cake and browse our plants and potted tulips which are starting to come into flower.

All opening details are on our new website which can be found by clicking the link in our bio.

We looking forward to fabulous new season and welcoming everyone back.

Don’t forget the plant nursery is open and the cafe for tea and cake during March! Monday to Friday 10-4pm. Spring is officially here and I were time to plant herbaceous perennials to get them established before summer. Mother’s Day is approaching so lots of gift ideas too such as pots of Tulips, Ironwork, season tickets, gift vouchers and Susie’s book.

The garden, nursery and cafe are open tomorrow Saturday 28th February 11-4pm if you are looking for somewhere to visit. This is an extra day to make up for the Snowdrop and Hellebore weekend closures.

The forecast is decent, the cafe will be open for Tea/coffee and cakes and of course lots of lovely pots of Tulips which are starting to grow and would make a perfect Mothers Day gift on the 15th March. Many other spring plants on sale for you to browse down in our vast nursery including a big selection of potted roses and perennials.

ALSO we will be keeping the nursery open for the whole of March so you can pop in anytime between 10-4pm Monday to Friday to shop for plants. Spring is coming and is ideal planting time.

See you tomorrow!
