Last of the big thistles completed. These bad boys are 150mm diameter and sit at the top of the front stiles of the gate, which is almost ready to go to the galvanising.

It was a really sad day when Claire and Katy of the in Darlington announced they were closing the business. For many years, we always had such a lovely selection of local cheeses on offer on our blacksmithing taster days and alongside the local Fresh bread from the it was a real highlight of the lunch table. We were absolutely delighted when we heard the news that Dean and Caroline made the decision to take over the business. The shop is such a valuable resource in Darlington, offering high-quality local cheese and a great selection of accompanying wines. These independent local shops need supporting and championing.
