Right now, it’s cheaper for a business to waste food than to give it to people. This is the wrong way round.

We are joining the call for a small change that could help fix this and ensure good food reaches more people.

Our national partner Felix has written an open letter to the Chancellor asking for simple tax changes that would make redistribution the economically viable first choice for surplus food.

Policy changes like this mean FareShare South West will be able to rescue more food to share with local people.

We know how many grassroots organisations are having a huge impact in their communities, often with minimal resources. If you represent a charity or community organisation, please add your voice to Felix’s Redistribution Revolution and sign their open letter via the link in the comments 👇

We have been given loads of eggs with today’s date if anyone wishes to take some. We are open until 1pm. If you wish to make a donation, that would be lovely but not expected.

We don't believe any child should have to use a foodbank, but for those that do, we would love to offer them an advent calendar for the festive period.

It may not seem like a lot, but it can bring a lot of joy to someone who may not have a lot for Christmas.

If you're able to donate one, please could we ask that they arrive at the foodbank or at our collection points by Sunday 15th November 2026 (although we will still accept them after this date!) so that we can begin giving them out on Monday 16th November, ready for the 1st of December.

You can bring them to us directly (Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm) or you can drop them off at one of our donation points:

> Tesco Superstore
> ASDA Newton Abbot
> NatWest Bank Newton Abbot
> The Cwtch Hub CIC

Help us to spread some Christmas magic to those in need this winter and thank you for your continued support. Please share this post if you can.

We're still expecting a few more harvest donations to arrive in the next couple of weeks, but we're still in need of donations to make sure we're ready to support our clients through the winter.

> ASDA Newton Abbot
> NatWest Bank Newton Abbot
