When the weather feels anything but summer, a cake like this brings all the sunshine 🍋 . I absolutely loved creating this three-tier lemon and elderflower beauty. The combination of smooth and textured buttercream edges, adorned with homegrown elderflowers, fresh lemon slices, and sprigs of thyme, created a beautifully natural and elegant design. Set beneath the marquee at Place Manor, it looked every bit as stunning as it tasted.

A bit of a different request for this beautiful lemon & elderflower cake 🍋✨

This striking 6” round cake featured an incredible 6 layers of sponge, finished with a dramatic domed top and elegant vintage-style piping chosen by the customer. Topped with a delicate buttercream rose, this truly was a skyscraper of a cake — tall, eye-catching, and impossible to miss! 💛

Tropical vibes were in full swing for this beautiful couple last month 🌺✨ and they even brought the sunshine with them!

I absolutely loved working with the marbled turquoise, vibrant pinks, and coral tones, inspired by the stunning poppies on the bride’s dress. Watching the marbled fondant come to life with every roll revealed its own unique swirl of colour and pattern.

A customer got in touch with me recently with the loveliest (and slightly unusual!) request…

It’s their 10th wedding anniversary and they’re staying in Fowey 🥹 He wanted to surprise his wife with a replica of one tier of their original wedding cake — how special is that?!

I don’t usually recreate other people’s cakes, but this felt too meaningful to say no to 🤍

The original cake (made 10 years ago by a now-retired baker) was such a beauty — soft pale yellow ruffles, topped and surrounded with Cadbury Mini Eggs (it was an Easter wedding!)

So here’s my take on their design, alongside a photo of the original from their big day…
