🎉 ONE WHOLE YEAR OF CANNY CAKES AND BAKES 🎉
Wow… what an event.
I was up so early yesterday because I was so nervous, thinking “What if no one comes?” But you did… and it was CRAZY! ❤️
We sold a record number of bakes in just a few hours – the highest amount we’ve ever sold in a single weekend.
I took a huge risk by increasing quantities across the board with no real idea how many people would turn up, but thankfully it paid off massively.
I’m completely overwhelmed by all of your support, and I’ll never stop being grateful to every single one of you. I never, ever take your support for granted.
I definitely took a moment to reflect yesterday because I find it so surreal that so many people support me and my little business.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial side. When I was little, I used to make and sell bracelets outside my mum’s house. Then when I was around 11 or 12, I turned our old caravan into a mini café for the kids in the village 😂🙈
I come from a small village that didn’t even have a shop, so I saw an opportunity and took it! 😝
My family still laughs about it now, but it’s quite ironic really that I now run a successful business from my front door. Maybe this is what I was always meant to do.
A lot of hard graft has gone into this past year. It hasn’t always been easy. I’ve cried at times, doubted myself and taken some big risks. But to be where I am one year later is something I am genuinely proud of.
I’ve poured so much money, time and energy back into the business because I want to keep growing and keep giving you the very best. I hope you feel that’s exactly what I’m doing.
We’re only at the beginning of the Canny Cakes and Bakes journey and I have so many plans for the future. It’s exciting, but growth takes time.
For now though, I hope you all love our new shed as much as I do. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a huge step up from before. For me, it’s never just about the cakes – it’s about the experience when you visit us, and I always want to make that experience the best it can be. ❤️
