Creating the perfect cake for a mother & daughter combo!

The brief - Camp America, driving, NHS, travelling, nursing, accountancy. That’s one heck of a brief but managed to pull it altogether in my design!

My beautifully smooth ganache & perfect drip thanks to my kit and their recipe and also edible prints thanks to my printer!

Pretty, elegant and fun all in one!

A lovely way to add a personal touch!

Changing a photo to an illustration and printing on edible paper is a lovely way of making the birthday peeps feel special and that’s what personalised cakes are all about!

WHAT A PRIZE! Not only are these all brand new but Cake Shapes have been chosen as a finalist is Product of the Year at Cake International and look at all of these I’ve been given to play with!!!

I’ll be colouring them with luster dusts, painting them with cocoa butter and might even disguise a few with a bit of sugar paste!!!

Thank you Dawn Butler - Dinkydoodle for ALL of these amazing Cake Shapes AND internal structure!!! I’ve so many ideas I can’t wait to get playing!

Cake decorating is so much blooming fun!!!

A square cake means you can create a different design for each side of the cake!

In this case I went for Diagon Alley which meant the 4 sides plus the top could be different but linked to the same theme!

Weasleys Wizard Wheezes to Knockturn Alley to the enchanted wall that leads to Diagon Alley!

The top of the cake was also used to add a little more Harry Potter magic by adding an edible image of the Marauders Map!

All posters and signs were edible thanks to my EPS • Edible Printers, Papers & Ink (absolute game changer). The window glass was made from a food safe cake box and customised with sugar paste.

I’ve wanted to make a cake like this for while and when my birthday came near I thought why not!!!

Easiest part about this was making the cake thanks to my square Frost Form® kit!

🖤🤍🖤 NEWCASTLE!!! 🖤🤍🖤

Look at this marbled and embossed cake board! It was so cool I didn’t want to cover it with the cake!

Theme - Newcastle United Football Club

I covered the board in marbled THE SUGAR PASTE™ and embossed it with my CAKE TOOLS | CUPCAKE STAMPS | COOKIE STENCILS | BAKING SUPPLIES letter embosser before filling with gold luster dust!

I used my Frost Form® liner and deco melts to create the perfect black stripes!

Before collection I placed it into this gorgeous box from The Baked Studio - Creative Cake Supplies so that the customer could see the design even though it was boxed for its journey home!

NUFC all the way!
