Just what we need as a small business… a FAKE 1 star review 😭😭😭

It seems “Mario” has been leaving 1 star reviews on all the local google reviews pages for businesses, although they have never purchased from us before!

So damaging to a small business 💔 I really hope this won’t deter people from booking with us in future 😭

If you’ve ever had a cake from us before and have a spare 5 mins, could I please ask you to leave us a little review? Just to show people we are actually good at what we do 🥲

The time of the year when it’s all about my beautiful Lauren.

All year round, she’s behind the scenes making cakes for everyone and she never really gets the time to take a step back and look at the hard works she’s put in.

Since 2020, she’s grown this business year on year and I honestly can’t take any of the credit for the masterpieces that come out of the kitchen. This all started around her 22nd birthday when I ‘attempted’ to make a cake for her birthday in lockdown. Funny looks aside, she said the taste was unreal and she started learning to bake. She just got better and better whilst never giving herself credit. Although I hand the cakes over and do little bits here and there, she is the heart of The Couple That Bakes.

Fast forward to today, I attempted to do the same thing for her again and make her birthday cake… really don’t know how she does it (it’s definitely not a glamorous job… and I’ll leave the baking side of things to her because its what she does best).

Whilst growing this business she is also the best partner to me, sister, daughter and friend. Always putting other people first and loving them with her whole heart.
