We’ll it’s been a while… again 🙈🤣

I haven’t posted in ages but I have been busy with cakes, a new job, family (currently enduring the summer holidays!) and life!

I have some exciting projects coming up including a wedding cake 🎂🎊 and will be putting up a new price list soon.

This is a recent cake for a lovely little girl who just asked for “a pink cake please!” 🩷😋

Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted here. I’ve still been baking but very much scaled back because of work commitments. However now I’m thinking, because of redundancy (and no longer wanting to work for the man!), of starting to take on more orders… so if you need a caker, tray bakes or anything else sweet 🧁🍫🎂 get in touch 💌

Throw back to Erica’s 5th birthday cake this year. Accidentally took her to see it this week not realising it was a 12… safe to say the majority of the plot/underlying tone of the movie went straight over her head. She enjoyed the Ken’s dancing though! 🙈🤣

Lots of lessons learned with this one 🙄🙈.
The bottom tier is a 10” HEAVY chocolate cake which I thought would be good to ganache 🤪 so adding another 600g of chocolate to the outside before then adding buttercream to the outside made it weigh ssooooo much!!!
The top is a lovely light 4 layer 8” vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and blueberry jam 😋
All in all I don’t think I’ll ganache a multi tier cake again… it really doesn’t need the extra weight! 🤣💪
