After a year of procrastination I have finally got round to making the Triple Chocolate Brownie Millionaires and my god it is a beast!!

UK Small Business Week ends tomorrow!

All week, the country has been getting behind brilliant small businesses like mine.

Small businesses really are the backbone of this country. Creating jobs, serving our communities, supporting local families, bringing life to our high streets and keeping money moving in the real economy (albeit it feels a bit government heavy in the direction the money moves!).

So if you have been meaning to support a small business this week, this is your final reminder.

Instead of defaulting to a massive online corporation, choose a small business.

Pop into an independent shop.

Book with someone local.

Order from a small producer.

Leave a review on facebook or Google (this one is a biggie for me!).

Recommend a business you love.

I’m 43.

For a long time, I thought I had missed my chance to do a lot of things.

To be healthier.
To feel confident.
To start a business.
To build a life that felt like mine.

Turns out, I was wrong.

If anything, my 40s have been the decade where I have finally started becoming the person I was always meant to be.

This one feels extra special.

Just a few weeks ago, I took the leap and left my office job to focus on Teddy Bears Bakes full time.

What started as a little honesty Cake Cupboard has grown into market stalls, postal orders, wholesale opportunities and a community I never imagined I’d build.
