Hello folks, we just wanted to give you advance warning that we have 20 tickets going on sale on Friday morning…..once they’re gone they’re gone…..if you can’t get in to get them feel free to send a message and we can save them for you…..don’t use cash then message and we can send the bank details for a bank transfer. Please help us sell the gig out to raise as much money as we can for The Christie Charity, most of us will be affected by cancer during our lifetime and The Christie are raising money for a new Scanning suit which will make diagnosis faster which as we all know will increase the chances of recovery. We will be forever grateful to The Christie Hospital at Macclesfield for the treatment and care Ian received. Last year we raised £2400+ at the music night, it was a huge success and this year won’t disappoint so let’s make it another sell out gig 🎶🎤🎸🥁

We’re thrilled to be part of ROCK THE CAUSE at The Club House at New Mills Golf Club for The Christie Charity alongside Peak Pluckers Ukulele group , New Mills Legends Black Diamond Disco and a very special guest.

The acts donate our time and entertaining skills 😹 , the audience donate the ticket money (which is why it’s a bit more expensive than a normal gig). We all want to raise as much as we can for this cause which many of us are very grateful for.

It’ll be a cracking night and one for the locals, it’s paper tickets only from the finest bakers in The High Peak (probably the world) W. Potts & Son New Mills and the friendliest hardware shop in Europe Ryans DIY Centre. Stop press, there are only a few left so get in quick and get ready to Rooooccckkkkkk!!!! WVM

Good evening folks…..this is your 12 hour warning…….we are proud to announce that we are doing another music night to raise money for the Christie Charity……this will be held on Saturday November 14th at New Mills Golf Club. It will be another amazing night of live music and a disco.

We are proud to announce that this year we have the amazing White Van Man doing a set for us so if you missed out on tickets for their anniversary gig now’s your chance to get tickets to see them.

General ticket sale starts at 9am Saturday 19th September and tickets are very limited after a successful presale. We have standing tickets only left now so if you want tickets please be quick or you might miss out. They’re available to buy at £35 each for standing.

Today marks 66 years since we lost Wilfrid Snr. Born 19th August 1881 to William and Elizabeth Potts, he died August 15th 1960 four days short of his 79th birthday.
He lost his sight to glaucoma but that didn’t stop him baking or mending cars…..he was fully blind in the photo yet could still rebuild a car!! He taught his son Wilfrid Jnr mechanics as well as baking. In his twenties, before he lost his sight he paid a bond to a mechanical engineers in Manchester. He later became a foreman electrician at Witworths Armouries during the First World War. After the war he went back to baking full time moving into our current shop in 1930 on his son’s 9th birthday, until February 1960 when his health deteriorated.

Wilfrid Potts Snr 19th August 1881-15th August 1960…..a good man, a true man and a real man 💙
