This sports ball set is for the sweetest boy Odin who turns 5 this weekend and stays up north. His Auntie is the best treat giver and she treated him to birthday cookies.

I have had a rough start to the week but I’ll be on top form in the morning after a rest tonight. Mentally my head wasn’t in the game today, I’m exhausted but I’ll be better after a good nights sleep 🩷

WE ARE 5 ON FRIDAY 🩷

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON…..

People have asked me what the biggest thing is that’s annoyed me in the last 5 years of growing Shelby’s?

110% been the copying and me being too trusting in business (that’s a me problem 🫠)

It might only be a cookie cutter or a disco ball for decoration, but it’s my ideas being replicated when I always try to be different. Then I feel I need to change because I don’t want to be the same.

I feel like a broken record and everyone will have their own opinion on this. But this is my opinion.

I know I’m not the only dog bakery out there, there is hundred all across the UK which is amazing because dogs deserve to be spoiled. But I just wish people would stay in their own lane and have their own ideas.

Copying is not okay and its soul destroyer and so upsetting for a business owner.

I’ve put everything back into Shelby’s and it’s a full time business. I’ve built my own kitchen, I’ve employed my mum, I fully approved by food standards. We do everything right and above board.

Before copying another business always thing if you have a business or had a business put yourself in my shoes - how would you feel?

Every industry has this and my hat goes off to every baker, nail technician, clothes designer, crafter etc….its so hard.

BUT ALL THAT SAID we have made it to 5 on Friday. I’m so grateful for the support and for keeping me so busy.

Beutiful Zac turned 17 this week and he was so excited when he realised this cake was for him but he was a good boy and shared with his sister Suzy.

Zac is partially blind and can only really see shadows but he could still sniff out his Shelby’s doggy birthday cake.

DOGGY HEAVEN 👏👏👏

This year our friends Furry Bairns Natural Dog Treats ltd were next door in the Ideal Home Hall they treated Shelby to his fav treats from there…..popcorn, buffalo bones and venison burgers.

Thank you so much Rab and Danielle for supporting us all weekend, that’s how it should be all supporting each other. It was so nice to see people stopping with Furry Bairns bags and walking away with Shelbys bags too.

Can’t wait to your yearly doggy day out in August.
