🚨 URGENT – VOLUNTEER TREASURER NEEDED BY SEPTEMBER 🚨

Inverbervie Burgh Hall is urgently looking for a volunteer Treasurer to take over from September.

Unfortunately, if we cannot find someone to take on this role, we will be unable to continue running the committee, putting the future of the hall at risk.

The Treasurer's role involves:
• Keeping simple financial records
• Paying bills
• Monitoring income and expenditure
• Providing basic financial updates to the committee

You don't need to be an accountant—just organised, reliable, and willing to support your local community. Full support will be provided during the handover.

This is one of the most important volunteer roles in helping keep our much loved Burgh Hall open for everyone.

One of the highlights of this year's Burgh Hall Art Show was being able to help the family of the late John Aitken showcase and sell a selection of his wonderful ship drawings.

We're delighted to hear that the proceeds from the sales have been donated to RNLI Montrose, supporting the charity's lifesaving work.

The photograph shows Doreen Melvin, volunteer at the Rnli Shop Montrose, receiving the cheque from Athol Aitken, John's son, together with his great granddaughter, Munro.

A huge thank you to the Aitken family for allowing us to be part of John's legacy, and to everyone who purchased one of his drawings during the exhibition. It's wonderful to see his artwork continue to benefit such an important local cause.

🚨 URGENT APPEAL – VOLUNTEER TREASURER NEEDED 🚨

Inverbervie Burgh Hall urgently needs a volunteer Treasurer to join our committee.

Without a Treasurer, the future of the hall is at risk, affecting our pre-school, social club, whist, Scottish country dancing, and many other community activities and hall hires.

The role involves keeping simple financial records, paying bills, monitoring income and expenditure, and providing basic financial updates to the committee. You don't need to be an accountant—just organised, reliable, and willing to help.

This is a vital role that will help keep our much-loved community hall open and serving Inverbervie.
