Bakery Assistant Vacancy

Due to the retirement of a long term member of staff, we are currently looking for a Bakery Assistant for our Ferry Street bakehouse.

Approximately 29 hours per week (5 days per week), with alternate Wednesdays and Saturdays off.

Hours of work from around 6am/6.30am until 12.30pm.

Additional hours may be required for this post at certain times.

The successful candidate must be able to work in a very busy environment and as part of a team.

Various duties involved and full training will be given.

Applicant to be over 16.

Our bakery and both shops will be closing for our Easter break to allow all of our wonderful staff to enjoy their well earned holiday.

Our Ferry street shop will close on Saturday 12th April at 1pm reopening on Tuesday 22nd April at 7am.

The High street shop will close on Saturday 12th April at 4pm, reopening on Tuesday 22nd April at 8am.

We are hiring!

We are currently looking for full time Baker/Trainee Baker for our Ferry Street bakery.

To be successful in this role, experience as a Baker or food manufacturing background would be preferable although training will be given

Ultimately, you will ensure that we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.

Requirements

Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar food preparation role would be preferable.
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
Understanding of food safety practices
Experience with cake decoration techniques
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
