Big change at The Moffat Chippy

We’ve waved goodbye to polystyrene and said hello to paper boxes.

Same chippy goodness inside…
Just kinder on the planet outside 🌱

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes switches that matters.
Less plastic… more care… small steps adding up to something better.

Fish and chips still hit the same.
The guilt? A wee bit lighter 😉

There’s a reason Fridays are our busiest day for fish 🐟💙

Long before takeaway apps and delivery drivers, Friday fish was a thing for a reason.

Traditionally, Friday was a meat-free day, especially in Christian homes. Fish became the go-to .... affordable, filling, and shared as a family. It marked the end of the working week… a pause… a reward.
People finished grafting.

Families sat down together.
And the chippy became part of the ritual.
That tradition never really left .... it just swapped the newspaper wrapping for a cardboard box 😄🍟

So when you see us flying through fish on a Friday, it’s not just hunger…
It’s habit, history, and comfort all rolled into one.

Some things don’t need changing .... they just need good batter and proper chips 💙
