Hello from Greece!
I've had a great week reading bread books in the sun, and also by chance met and had a pizza making lesson from Tom and Henry Herbert - Channel 4's Fabulous Baker Brothers, really nice guys and I got lots of tips!
This week I'm baking:
- A white sourdough round loaf (£3 regular, £3.50 family size)
- A wholemeal tin loaf (£2.50 regular, £3 family size)
- A seed and grain round loaf (£2.50 regular, £3 family size)
- A green olive round loaf (£3 regular, £3.50 family size)
Also available, from Jane at Labours of Love Preserves, are a sweet and a savoury jam:
First, Plum Jam With Aged Sloe Gin-local plums with my own 4 year old sloe gin. Fab on toast, croissants, pancakes or with porridge or natural yoghurt. Priced at £3.75 a jar.
Secondly, Red Pepper & Chilli Jam. With a punch but not too hot so can be enjoyed by all the family. Perfect with chicken, ham, cheese or fishcakes Also great as a dipping sauce, in sandwiches or in a stir fry. Priced at £3.95 a jar.
Also available is the Aspley Guise produced honey, from bees kept on Woburn Lane. There is both runny and soft-set honey available, the soft-set honey is a spring season honey made from the pollen of oilseed r**e and field bean flowers and the clear runny honey is made from the pollen of wild flowers found in local hedgerows such as blackberry, dandelion and willow-herb. The price for both is £4 a jar.
Comment below or message/email me for orders. Please have orders containing sourdough in by 10PM TOMORROW and any orders containing just the other three breads by 10AM FRIDAY.
Thanks!
Josh
