Lovely afternoon stroll

Took time out to pick some blackberries. The final ingredient for our blackberry and lemon drizzle muffins! Looks like a good year for sloes too!

Our new Strawberry tarts and Blackberry and apple scones. Got to admit the scones took 3 attempts and 3 tweaks to get right but I think I’ve got there in the end.
Now working on a lemon and blackberry muffin which hopefully will be out next week.

Preparations complete for our customer lunch today. Smoked salmon, spinach, and Boursin lasagne served with our classic mixed salad and garlic bread, followed by a fresh fruit salad and homemade zesty lemon scones with clotted cream and lemon preserve

Todays vegetarian platter
Roasted vegetable skewers with basil and sweet chilli
Homemade ploughman’s scones (cheese, apple and pickled onion) filled with Philadelphia cream cheese and fig chutney.
Celery and Stilton tarts.


Homemade savoury scones such as;
Ploughman’s
Stilton and cranberry
Cheddar, red onion and red pepper
Cheddar, basil and sundried tomato
Feature regularly on our buffets. All are filled with Philadelphia cream cheese and a variety of chutneys and chilli jams

Our new Christmas menus are now available featuring our homemade shortbread, mulled scones with clotted cream and bramble preserve and our new banana, chocolate chip and cranberry muffins.
