Feeling very fortunate to have 6 heritage apple trees at home 🍎🍏

We’ve picked one from each tree for a little bit of market research 😋 and they’re all completely different, different sizes, colours and flavours, but every one of them is delicious.

So obviously, I’m already thinking about what we can bake with them at the Cakehouse this autumn 🤎🍂

Apple & blackberry crumble
Warm apple & cinnamon cake
Toffee apple cheesecake
Sticky caramel apple pudding
Homemade apple pies
Apple & cinnamon Welsh cakes
And LOTS of custard 😂

There’s something really lovely about being able to pick them from our own trees and turn them into bakes 🍎 after all this is the little orchard our business has grown from 🫶🏻 with the help of you all ♥️

We’re looking for a fabulous new person to join our team at Old Rectory Bar & Bistro, Milford Waterfront 🤎

We’re looking for someone who is:

✨ Friendly, confident & great with
customers
✨ Reliable and hardworking
✨ Happy working as part of a busy team
✨ Able to use their initiative
✨ Flexible with hours, including weekends & evenings, and potentially kitchen shifts
✨ must be over 21

Experience is a must, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in are just as important to us.

We’re a busy independent Bar & Bistro with everything from daytime lunches and cakes to evening service, private functions and events, so no two shifts are quite the same!

• No food service during the day
• Closed Thursday evening for a private party

🩷Saturday
• Closed for an event until 5:00 PM
• DJ Night from 5:00 PM 🎶 all welcome (No food service)

🩷Sunday
• Closed all day

From this week, we’re extending our evening service and introducing a new combined day & night menu.

Brunch
Monday – Sunday | 10:00am – 2:30pm

Evening Food
Tuesday – Saturday | 5:00pm – 8:00pm

We’ve added two extra evenings to our food service, so you can now join us Tuesday through to Saturday for dinner.
