This is a post I’ve been putting off posting but I’ve received a few queries wondering why you haven’t been able to purchase my cheesecakes in the shops lately.
You may have noticed I had to pull out of Narberth Food Festival. A decision no trader takes lightly. Unfortunately for me I have developed a pr*****ed disc in my lower back, which, is very painful and whilst I currently cannot stand for very long, I’m also unable to walk more than a few steps. It doesn’t end there either, as my left leg has become numb from the knee down, just for good measure 👌
So, for the time being and for the next few weeks I’m receiving wonderful care through our nhs and between physiotherapy, chiropractor and hydrotherapy I hope to get back on my feet as quickly as possible.
Thanks for all the love and kind messages I’ve received from fellow traders, kind shop stockists, friends and family. My poor Jo is currently run ragged looking after me and our 2 boys, with their million clubs after school, dog to walk, a house to run, a full-time job and now a moaning wife (more than normal!) I’m not a good patient…I absolutely admit it! When you’re self-employed and used to being on the go constantly to becoming immobile overnight and in immense pain, it’s a shock to the system to say the least.
But, I WILL be back, a few tweaks to the business to prevent this from happening again are required but I’ll be back…as soon as my body allows.
