A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US 💔

I wanted to be honest with you about what’s been happening behind the scenes at Sapphires.

The last couple of months have been incredibly difficult. Like so many small businesses in hospitality, we’re feeling the pressure of rising costs... and alongside my own health taking a bit of a battering, I’ve had to seriously consider whether keeping Sapphires going is possible.

But I’m not ready to give up on my dream just yet. 💛

So, from 1st September, I’ll be running the cafe & bakery singlehandedly, with a little help on Saturdays.

This means our opening hours will be changing to:

THURSDAY • FRIDAY • SATURDAY
10AM–6PM

I’ll be baking for the counter around these opening days, so there will still be plenty of cake, bakes and desserts to enjoy! 🍰

There are a couple of other important changes too:

🎂 Celebration cakes: We won’t be taking on any new celebration cake orders from September onwards. This is so I can make sure I’m not overpromising and underdelivering. If you already have a cake booked with us, your order is still going ahead as planned!

🍰 Dessert Nights: These will be stopping with immediate effect. BUT we’ll be making more of your favourite loaded desserts for the regular counter, so you can still get your Sapphires dessert fix during our normal opening hours!

I know it’s a lot of change, but every decision has been made with one goal in mind: keeping Sapphires going.

I’m not ready to let go of this little business I’ve poured so much of myself into. I just need to find a way of making it sustainable, manageable and enjoyable again.

Thank you for sticking with me, supporting me and continuing to believe in Sapphires. Every visit, coffee, cake, recommendation and kind word genuinely means the world. 💛

Here’s to giving Sapphires another chance. 🥹✨

It's been a hot minute since I've posted any cake photos! But the break from them has been well needed - finally properly putting my health first has been soooo freeing and well needed so thank you for all bearing with me 🩷

Here's to not burning out again in 3-5 weeks!! 😂🤞
