This beautiful cake is for my beautiful friend! Sarah is a long term customer of mine but over the years, she has become a really good friend. She's ordered from me more times than I can remember, whenever there was an occasion, buying cake gifts for others & probably ordering every seasonal offer I've ever done eg, Easter, Halloween, Christmas. She has supported my page like a trooper & entered every single raffle I've ever held, sometimes buying an excess of tickets just to help me out. She recently bought £50 worth of raffle tickets to win a cake (Life Line for Louis), & had messaged me to say if she wins she would donate the cake to the family. She's seen me through breast cancer & I heard about her now late husband's illness. She's watched my son grow up & I was on the scene when she married her now husband, Mike. She has made Liam & I the most delicious three course meals at her dinner parties & she is the best cook. I've made her 65th birthday cupcakes last year & her two year wedding anniversary cake last summer. She's a huge fan of my baking and I've never taken that for granted - although she has been known to stalk me to make brownies & cookies. She has also been given my secret recipes to take to France with her ... Sarah & Mike are leaving for Couiza, France on Wednesday. I've heard about the pain of selling her house, the ups & downs & obstacles but it's finally happening!! She retired on Friday and she had her favourite chocolate cupcakes from me to celebrate (the French flags), she has ordered the sugar cookies to take on her travels on the ferry & for the very long drive the other side! I've made this cake as her parting gift which she says is going to travel to southern France with her just fine in the boot of her car!!! Sarah & Mike have bought a lovely property in France to retire to, and eventually they plan to offer B&B. They've even got a swimming pool! I'm going to miss Sarah so much, she only lives up the road from me & our paths would have never crossed if it wasn't for the cakes. Her new neighbours, new acquaintances & new friends will be so lucky to have her in France. Bon Voyage Sarah & Mike, maybe one day when Danny is ready we will make it over to you! Safe travels & the best of luck ### 🇫🇷
