It is with the heaviest of hearts we must announce the closure of The Bakehouse. As some of you know I've been battling a serious illness for a while now and that battle continues. As much as I refer to The Bakehouse as "we" or "us" in all reality it's just me - Imogen. The workload of running a busy bakery and cafe is intense and as much as I adore it I am simply too unwell to continue at the moment. I need to regain my health - after all that's all we really have and it's important to prioritise that. This has been one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make and I want to thank everyone who's supported The Bakehouse in any way, it's truly been my absolute pleasure to host and serve you all. ♥️

We love these zesty little delights - our scrumptious lemon drizzle croissants are available today! They make for the perfect treat when you can't decide between breakfast and cake. Filled with our rich and tart lemon curd you will fall in love at the first bite 😍🍋

Treat yourself to one of our peanut and salted caramel cookies today - you deserve it! With blobs of delicious caramel sauce and flakes of sea salt these cookies are a decadent treat ideal with a cup of coffee 😍

In our bread basket today as well as our ever popular sourdough we have some stunning honey oat and sunflower bloomers 😍🌻 because life is too short for bland and tasteless bread! This loaf is packed with goodness such as local honey, wholegrains and seeds. Delicious.

We will have a very limited number of our signature sourdough available for sale in The Bakehouse this weekend - these are sold on a strict first come first served basis so make sure to be be quick to avoid disappointment! 😍🤤🍞🥖

The Bakehouse is back! Opening at the slightly later time tomorrow morning of 11am to allow us to set up at the fabulous artisan market at then Sunday we are open from 9. Now the schools are back from the summer our opening hours will revert to Saturday and Sunday, but keep your eyes peeled for exciting seasonal events coming soon

The Bakehouse is now closed until September 21st! We will answer all messages and enquiries then but for now I'm off to the beach for some much needed rest and relaxation. Thankyou all for a wonderful summer season, and I'll see you for autumn/winter fun upon my return.

If there was ever a way to improve upon the already magnificent croissant we think we've found it! Sliced and filled with our delicious tart and sweet home made lemon curd this breakfast treat just got a serious upgrade
