It is with regret I am announcing the closure of Baked with Char with immediate effect. The logistics of Baking in my new home on a large scale isn't feasible. Therefore moving forward I will only be taking orders for friends and family. Thank you for all your custom over the last year 🧁

"Baking is not just a process but an art that requires time, precision, and skill"

Homemade cakes are expensive because of the following reasons…

Fresh ingredients such as butter, that go into cakes are expensive. When a cake is ordered, the baker has to put in hours of work thinking about design, colour, texture and technique.

Insurance, overheads, time, experience, materials, ingredients, a wage, wear and tear, etc are all costs that are accounted for.

Also, homemade cakes do not contain preservatives, only fresh ingredients.
