Almost 2 months in and I think it's about time for an update ☺️ All is well here and I can confirm there's no plans to make a return anytime soon.
Peggy's is still fully closed, however, I am still planning to return later in the year with a very 'small' selection via a third party seller and possibly a few festive markets 🤞
I've had a flurry of enquiries this past few weeks and I will never send you away empty handed! Although I'm unable to take on your booking myself I've passed on my 'personal' recommendations for catering/cakes/afternoon tea. These are companies I would be very happy to use or have used myself.
Small established businesses who have weathered the storm this past 16 months need your support more than ever so when the wider world opens up for days out/treats/ celebrating special occasions please don't forget those who have been there for you throughout 🙏☺️

In the past two months I've fed my soul & culture vulture, enjoyed permitted travel, slept more than ever, had a whistle stop tour to the Motherland & had family visit me!
My home is slowly getting back to the organised state it was 6 years ago and I can hand on heart admit NO baking has taken place since May! 😲

Even though Peggy's is now closed I can still receive messages via my page. If you need to get in touch with me for whatever reason then here's a good place to start. I've not posted on my personal page for many a year so there's nothing to see there 😉
Social media is something I'm going to be spending less time on and gaining back precious time in the here and now, but I'm always here if you need help or just a chat it's been so lovely the last week not being tied to answering messages and those that have come through I can only say sorry for not responding yet; I will get around to it 🥰

Tonight it's all about Eurovision, Fizz & Peggy's Thai curry 😂
Many moons ago it was Eurovision night and Gina G was the first song to kick start the disco at mine & Mr Peggy's wedding party so I will let you Google how many years it's been 😉🥈

The final order has left the building 😩 Peggy's is now officially closed permanently. I couldn't have done it without your support over the last 6 years so a huge 'Thank YOU' for helping me make Peggy's a success 😊
I am well overdue for an extended rest as lockdown has meant I've been working long hours 7 days a week and this takes it's toll.

I am still working in the background on stocking a few best sellers with a third party seller so please stick with my page as you shall hear it here first 🤞and I may just put in an appearance at a few Christmas farmers/food markets 😉

Shortbread once again has been my most popular item this week and I have never ever produced so many full boxes at once with lots of you grabbing your last chance to enjoy 😋
A particular fun order which made me smile included a few personalised biscuits as a leaving gift for a work colleague 😂 this really set the scene for my week.

Thankyou to those who passed on kind messages, gifts, cards and thanks for helping you celebrate occasions over the years. My beautiful gift of a needle felt 'Peggy' mouse will become a treasured item...she is adorable 😍.

For now it's closing time at Peggy's as you know it but it's not goodbye 😘 x

Are you ready?! 👍 I've finally just finished in the kitchen and everything that is left will now be listed. This is the final menu before closing on Saturday 😭
A few items are discounted from the usual price and all are extremely limited. Collection is Friday or Saturday (please state which day) no invoices will be sent this week, just totals. If you need payment or collection details drop me a message and I shall get back to you asap. My details are unchanged if you've purchased previously.
Amounts will be updated as they sell.

I'm a bit late releasing the weekend treats...sorry.
The afternoon didn't quite go to plan and now I need to arrange car recovery tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ I must remember next time I take an impromptu long walk in the rain to take my coat! 😩🌧️
My life is far from dull and boring 😂

Back in production to preorder for anyday up until 15th. It's you're final chance before closing so time to stock up! Fresh & zingy Thai curry paste handmade in small batches. A 300ml (approx) paste to add to coconut milk plus your choice of veg, meat or fish to create a delicious fast curry to serve 3/4. New orders will get two recipe cards for Curry & Laksa. Can be stored in the fridge for 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. *gluten free, dairy free, suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians, does not contain fish sauce but contains sesame*

Just 12 days to go before I close the order books to Peggy's for the very last time. I still have a little availability for the Afternoon Tea boxes that have been incredibly popular over lockdown although this coming weekend is almost full so best be quick if you're pondering!
I've carried out my final stock check and the last two menus will be released for weekend treats very soon along with my Thai Curry paste which will be available throughout. Items are extremely limited and once they are gone there will never be anymore 😔
Whilst Peggy's has been all I envisaged I'm very much looking forward to gaining back my weekends and catching up with friends & family when restrictions ease.
No one ever took their last breath and proclaimed 'I wish I spent more time at work' ❤️ X

WELCOME TO PEGGY'S. WHAT CAN I OFFER YOU? Peggy's is a vintage styled pop up (mobile) tearoom and caterer/baker bringing the event to you. I can offer individual tea parties, afternoon tea catering, continental breakfast boxes, everyday cakes & bakes, celebration cakes plus much more. Please drop me a message for my latest price guide and browse my albums or FB shop to get a feel for what style of cake is created here at Peggy’s. I specialise in NON fondant covered cakes, ie drip cakes, buttercream , ganache etc. Carved cakes and novelty cakes unfortunately won’t be found here but delicious drip cakes topped with chocolates, meringues, macarons etc will be, plus the still current trend of fresh fruit and flowers semi naked and naked cakes. Do you require refreshments at your event or gathering? I can provide afternoon tea with or without the hire of vintage crockery. Peggy's can offer various packages from catering only to a fully hosted tea party. (A minimum number of 10 applies to all private tea parties) So if its a special birthday, a hen party, baby shower or just a simple gathering of friends then Peggy's can offer you the perfect package. Delicate china, floral table cloths, bunting, vintage cutlery, fresh flowers and last but not least, fresh baked, delicious cakes and savouries can all be brought to you at your venue of choice even if its just at home! Menus are updated regularly so please message for further information, menu and package options and prices.
