Important notice

After a lot of thought and consideration, I have decided to take a big step back from Books to Bakes.
An opportunity has presented itself for me to return to a role in accounting and it’s something I’ve decided I want to do.
I set Books to Bakes up as a business over 2 years ago now and can’t believe how far it’s come and how many lovely people I’ve met from it! I’m overwhelmed at the success of it and also very proud to have achieved what I have. I’m so grateful for the support I’ve been shown and all the experience I’ve gained.

I won’t be stopping baking altogether - I’m sure my family and friends will keep me busy 🤣

But as of now, this page will no longer be for business purposes and will be left as a hobby page. I will not be taking on anymore new orders - my online store is also now closed. Those who have an order already booked in with me over the next couple of months - if you would still like me to make them, I will of course honour these ☺️

Thank you so much once again to all my customers & supporters - you’ve been amazing 🤩

Mother’s Day 2022 is finally done 😅
The tired look on my face screams 3am finish 😂

Couldn’t have done it without my mum and I’m looking forward to spending time with her tomorrow outside the kitchen 🤣

Books to Bakes

As an accountant, it never occurred to me that there are other options out there. I had come home from my Summer holiday in August 2018 deciding that I needed to pick up a hobby - something to focus on other than my job. Baking was never at the forefront of my mind, it was a random decision - I had baked with family in the past, but never regularly and especially not to the point where I thought anything of it.

However, from that random decision, I’ve become baking obsessed! I love it and I think I’m pretty good at it! I made an Instagram account in late October 2018 to showcase my home-baked goods and have slowly become part of a baking community. I’m constantly learning new things and progressing at a fast pace.

Something that I’m also passionate about is producing great-tasting gluten free products. Having a sister with coeliac disease means my family know all too well the struggles of finding products that taste just as good as “normal”, whilst not having to pay over the odds for them... not had so much luck with this!

Recent events have encouraged me to try to turn Books to Bakes into more than just a hobby and I hope that the only way is up.
